Getting spanked on the Healing Meters

Was in Naxx 25 with my guild this weekend, got some good upgrades. I got totally spanked on the healing meters, came in last. Was surrounded by epic'ed out Druids and Priests, and my Paladin alt just hit 80 last week. I assumed that was to be expected, but what can I do to improve my numbers?
In the last 25 OS the other paladins were much higher above me on the meters. I'm assuming they are Judging JoL on everything that moves and that adds to their healing totals. What else can I do to improve my scores? The biggest issue is that by the time I get the heals off, the raid members are already at full health. Should Holy paladins spam heals just to get lucky that it lands and counts vs overhealing? What am I doing wrong?
P.S. I know in the end if everyone lives and there's no wipe it doesn't matter. I just hate coming in last every raid. Also I have no issues in Heroics.

Healing Meters are one of the worst things to ever happen to WoW (being serious there). They do not adequately account for the various roles of healers. The only thing they can show is when something is grossly wrong with somebody ("Wow, he only cast 5 times during Hodir").
Ignore healing meters. Heal people who are low, do your job, don't get killed.

Get rid of all your haste, never judge so you dont get 15% haste from JotP, cast a HL that hits .1 seconds after the tank gets hit and then you just spam it forever. You'll have your HLs land .1 seconds after each time the boss swings at the tank and this way you'll never get sniped.
Assuming your tank is expertise capped and doesnt parry haste the boss ofc.
Or that the boss has any special abilities that doesnt land in between his normal melee swings.
Actually you know what? That idea wasn't that great.

1 suggestion would be to make sure your unit frame heal / mod syncs for incoming heals. That way you can see if someone else has an inbound heal on the target.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'll try some of the tips people have suggested. As for the mods, I use Xperl + Clique, not sure what the rest of the healers are running with. This might help me heal targets that no one else is healing at the moment. I see the sync when someone is resing, but it wasn't showing incoming heals so I'll play with the options.
And I'm not sure how you would "predict" incoming damage to a target. Does this mean looking at DBM and seeing when the next raid damaging event comes, and timing your heals accordingly? How do you know when a tank is about to take damage vs avoiding it all together?
And as far as Recount, is there a more accurate scope to use than Healing Done? Should I be looking at total heals, overhealing, or something like that to gauge where I'm at?

I'm not worried about overhealing, because as long as I still have mana it doesn't really matter. And I wasn't even poping many of my CD's that night anyways. My main issue is getting my heals sniped, so hopefully a chance in mods might fix that. As I mentioned I use XPerl and Clique, some have recommended Grid or Healbot. Also it doesn't help the healers were very well geared and have been doing their job for a long time. Everyone was on top of things.
As far as Judgement of Light healing, should I be using a different combination? I currently use
Seal of Wisdom
+ the
Glyph of Seal of Wisdom
, and Judge using
Judgment of Light
. Should I use the Light equivalent instead? Will the Ret Paladins' JoL overwrite mine due to their better JoL scaling?
