I've got some PvP leather pants on and I watch other PvE epics come across my path and none of them have stats higher- I'm not talking about raid epics- just badges and crafted. Sure the resil. is a wasted stat but but the gem slot, sp, hit and crit bumps still make them the best pair of pants for me.

pvp gear lacks the stats like hit that are necessery for heroics and raiding. also when you say people pvp in raidng gear they are most likly doing duals and bgs not arenas. bgs and duals dont require pvp gear but arenas do

MANY
heroics,I wasn't lucky i guess,I dint take anything good from my self,I lost on need roll. But thanks for your information
I would suggest spending some of your Emblems of Valor / Heroism on some PvE gear rather than spending them on PvP gear.

An upgrade is an upgrade in my opinion. I would rather take someone with some PvP gear on doing higher DPS than someone in all PvE gear.
But logically going in a full PvP set says you're experienced in PvP, it says you've put time and effort into PvP and PvP is where your priority lies. If you're going into a long night of raiding, people want to feel confident that you are an experienced PvE player because lets face it - a 4 hour run of Naxxramas is very different playstyle than doing wintergrasp or alterac valley. So whilst you may output more DPS, the raid leader has to ask himself - is he used to raiding long hours? Is he going to know the tactics? Is he going to communicate effectively with the team? Is he going to understand his role, his buffs, bring food & flasks and all that jazz.
As a raid leader I would find one or two pieces of PvP gear that were placeholders whilst raiding (some of the 213 gear IS better than 200 hc PvE gear but it's not better than 213 raiding gear for PvE) acceptable but not a full set, because it would suggest to me you're not a serious PvE player and may not bring the best focus, skills & understanding to a raid.
By all means wear any upgrades to HC gear that you have gained in PvP but thats only a few slots really.
