I've seen a lot of posts, guides, etc. to making money, but not a whole lot apply to the situation that I'm in and that I know quite a few other people are in, so I wanted to dedicate a thread for making money for people who were in this situation:
-They need to pay for epic flying (which means they can't exactly fly all over the place at swift speed farming herbs or veins)
-They might not have a high level crafting profession to work with (most I know have a high level gathering however)
-They don't have a ton of money to "work the market" (buy low sell high whatever other techniques) with
-and any other similar limitations I might be missing
I myself am in this situation and I'm trying to get my epic flyer ASAP, and right now I'm starting to farm Eternals (particularly Eternal Fire) in Wintergrasp to see how that goes. I'm not really a big fan of grinding dailies, lol.
Any contribution, insight, advice would be greatly appreciated by me and anyone else trying to get their epic flying skill.

A few days ago on my 70 DK i started soloing ramps out of the 2 runs i did, i died only once because of pulling too many and i was blood so i stayed alive but when i got done with the run looting everything i got, i made 80g and only 80 silver repair so that is my way to make quick money i am thinking about doing it about once a day.I hope it gives idea's :)
Note:i was using
www.wowhead.com/?spell=28880
so it made it a little easier

actually wow, yeah, soloing lower level instances for better loot, i never really thought of that
would probably be really awesome for tailoring/enchanting since you have tons of greens/blues to DE and also a lot of cloth
too bad i'm a rogue with herbing and like 200 inscription so it doesnt really apply to me but damn, great idea for sure

I am seriously considering BC and pre-BC ores and leather as my new standard gold grinding.
( note: these numbers are based on Shattered Hand US server ).
- Thorium ore: 40g/stack
- Rugged leather 30g/stack
Killing Yetis
here
is perfect for rugged leather and there's 3-4 potential nods of thorium.
Farming thorium
here
. Considered as a very dangerous zone at pre-bc ( full of 60 elites ), a 80 can just run around mobs and mine everything.
Depending on luck, It's an easy 150-200g/hour
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BC mats.
-Fel iron ore 30g/stack
-Knothide leather 25g/stack
Nagrand is also perfect for leather grinding.
Lots of big pack of clefthoof
here
. AoE and skin.
For mining, I would Nagrand and Hellfire if you are grinding for epic flying ( since using ground mount will be more effective ).

Well DE is not the way to go for money if your gonna use the mats i made 70% of my profits from greens and blues but if you have tailoring its very nice if your not at frostweave yet i get about 1-3 stacks of runecloth from it and only about 1 stack of netherweave per ramps run

I run Hellfire Ramparts and Blood Furnace for gold. Averages about 80g/run and takes me around 15 minutes for each dungeon. Those two are the best bangforyourbuck in Outlands.
I find running the BC dungeons less monotonous than dailies or resource grinding. I usually set myself 'challenges' to keep it interesting, see how many mobs I can round up, or try and beat my best time etc.
Normal or heroics ? 80g seems a lot, could you split how much gold you get for each potential income ? ( ex: 30g for cloths, 20g for greens, 20g from looting, etc... )
The fact is: Gold can be easily obtain if you can find a way to do more than the old and boring process of dailies grind.

I got 80g for ramps runs on regular 61 npcs its mostly from the big amount of greens that drop

well if you want to know this is how much you make from each thing 5g from cloth ,10g from loot ,55g from greens and 15-20g in boss drops=85-90 g per run average for soloing ramps
Note:you can possibly make more than 80g per run i was vendoring the items

If you want to do dailies (OP doesn't but other people might) do the Argent Tourney Champion ranked dailies. Not only do these suckers give the usual 13g, but you can choose the "
Champion's Purse
" as a quest reward. It contains an extra 10g, effectively making 1 13g daily worth 23g... Unfortunately, you are limited to 3-4 Champion dailies per day, however it can be a good supplement to your daily routine.

Do dailies. Sell everything you get. Don't buy anything. If you're an enchanter, get a good group together and knock out a few heroics. Turn badges into frozen orbs and sell them if your server is one where they sell well (on mine they go for 80-100g per, some servers they go for more, others they barely sell for 30g). You'll have 5k in a week, easy.

I have to agree with the posts about finishing quest-lines. Finishing all the quests within a specific area will net you a fair bit of gold.
I find it easy to set a goal for myself. I think, "can I clear all these within the hour?". I find setting goals breaks up the monotony of repeating the daily quests.
The added benefit is that questing is generally soloable.
Sell everything; buy nothing.
Have fun.
