Yeah dude I'mma have to go with Dant on this. I've been Frost for a very long time (3 years?), and I've recently switched specs.
As frost in a deep frost build with FM, I was pulling just around 2.8k DPS in raid boss fights. As frostfire right now, I can do considerably higher, around 4k. (that's about 50% more damage)
While frost is great for leveling and for AOE damage, your boss fight damage drops dramatically. When you compare your highest damage potential, it is just not as high as it could be.
This does NOT mean that it will never do good raid damage, but I don't know what Blizzard will do.
