GoLT scales from spirit. specific talent choices have no effect on GoLT's viability so, if you've got a reasonable amount of spirit on your gear GoLT will be an excellent choice whatever your spec.

well, 0.2*426=85.2 spellpower.
if we were to assume the worst possible scaling factor (deep demo in t8 gear = 1.18) that still gives ~100dps
that's a bigger increase than any other single warlock glyph as far as i know. it does, however, assume 100% uptime which you won't have and don't necessarily want.
it's worth factoring in that if you ever LT for the buff at a time that you wouldn't need the mana the lost GCD start to eat into that dps gain but this can be worked around with a little thought.
as the tank starts each pull get in the habit of hitting a rank 1 life tap. from then on life tap whenever you need mana, little and often. don't get to 5% mana and LT five times, add a LT to your rotation so you're tapping evenly throughout the fight.
if you're ever forced to move, take the opportunity to refresh your LT timer.
LT before any 'burn phase' and refresh at times when you pop meta/trinkets and/or receive heroism/bloodlust.
as for what's "reasonable", we need some dps values for the other glyphs. anyone know of any reputable research on that?

Glyph of Immolate is ^&*!. Increases the base damage of Immolate by 10% - thats barely anything.
no, it increases the
periodic
damage of immolate by 10%. it's a very nice glyph and anyone who writes it off as "^&*!" really doesn't understand spell mechanics.

If you are using 0/40/31, you should go shoot yourself in the head now. Even if you are a stubborn moron who refuses to go 0/41/30, you should be using Glyphs of Conflag, LT and Incin.
PS: The changes to FnB do NOT increase GoImmo's uses. In fact, they DECREASE its value because FnB no longer boosts Immo's damage. GoImmo is utter trash, and should not be used in any of the current top DPS specs.

lol, fin. you ought to back off a bit.
0/40/31 isn't optimal but it's far from terrible. so long as the people who choose it aren't doing so thinking that we're still in the same place we were pre-hotfix, then it's fine.
due to improved soul leech the glyph of life tap isn't ideal for deep destro builds and GoImmo is very good, increasing the two highest DPET spells in a deep destro's arsenal considerably. this is the case on live and in the coming patch.
so, no, someone using 0/40/31 isn't necessarily a moron, they might just like the playstyle and no GoImmo is NOT "utter trash"
if you're going to be
that
vehement then you need to be on very solid ground.
(edited for stupidity)
