It's the cat versions that got nerfed, not the bear versions.
And the DPS of cats got nerfed approx 2%.

1)...I fear my dps in catform will drop
significantly
....
2)...using maul, mangle,
rip
and swipe...
3)...abilities got nerfed by approx
10 percent
in 3.2...
1) Then you haven't been paying attention to the threads concerning the changes.
2) Rip in Bear Form? Assuming you meant Lacerate. The only Bear ability that got nerfed was Mangle, and with its cooldown, Mangle isn't responsible for a large percentage of your threat anyways, and as explained in #3, its not much of a nerf. (And AFAIK Slimda may be right, its possible only Cat Mangle was nerfed, the Patch notes don't specify).
3) Find a few of the threads concerning this, OR just read the patch notes closer -- The base damage was nerfed ~10%, but AP scaling remains unchanged. In high-end gear, AP scaling is all that seperates you from a naked freshly-dinged 80, and that wasn't touched. The total impact on DPS should be on the order of ~2 or 3% for someone in T8.

the statement of 2% is NOT valid for 99% of the players in the realms and I do wish that people would quit saying this like its everyone.
IF you have the TOP gear in the game yes its about 2%. For most leveling specs its closer to 10%.
As you get better gear the gap will close, VERY SLOWLY.

@etrin:
The ONLY people who will see close to a 10% nerf are people who have 0 Attack Power, and even they wouldn't see 10% unless they ONLY spammed Mangle, and somehow never Auto-Attacked! This includes... Nobody. And since the nerf only affects the top couple ranks of these abilities, even leveling cats will have a Feral AP weapon by the time they see them. Here's the table I made a couple months ago.
Only max ranks shown, Talents / Buffs not calculated (tooltip values used)
Used a 0-AP 'Weapon Damage' of 54.8dps; +14-AP = +1 weapon damage
3000 AP 7000 AP
BEFORE AFTER NERF% BEFORE AFTER NERF%
Mangle
1172 1102 6.0% 1744 1674 4.0%
Rake
(init) 220 207 6.0% 260 247 5.1%
(tick) 567 540 4.7% 807 780 3.4%
Rip
(tick) 674 643 4.5% 874 843 3.6%
Shred
1348 1274 5.5% 1991 1916 3.7%
And a link to the
thread i originally put it in
SInce FB and white damage weren't nerfed, your total nerf will be a weighted average of the above values and 2 0%'s for White / FB. Also, note that since I didn't include ANY buffs or talents in my rough calculation, the result will likely be even
less
. (The extent of which would be a new discussion altogether)
Bottom line: If you want to believe that you got a 20% nerf, or that this is a game changer in terms of our capabilities, reroll a new class -- it means that you're bad, and that if you delete your druid the average skill level of the commuminty will increase.

Seeing very little difference judging by my performance on XT last night. Also my performance in CC was pretty top-of-the-pack as usual from before. Token nerf is token -- I'm glad they did it to shut people up.

The problem will be those who don't see it as enough of a nerf and will start crying over Blizz's favoritism of us as un-based as that is :(

We need the damage, since the PvP nerf is really harsh. Resil on top of the 2% is a brutal hit to our burst in PvP. If you play feral in PvP, expect to work twice as hard as you did before.

This is what really got me. I did a bit of pvping before a raid yesterday and was more than a little frustrated at how much harder it was to burst someone down.
Still happened, just took a bit more to get going and set up. Seems like a good change overall, just something I'll have to get used to.

Well, my main is a feral kitty, despite the cool new look for the cat and bear forms, the changes haven't been been noticed, my druid is geared for naxx 25-man.
When it comes to pvp, i never do it, i find it too predictable and pointless.
I think it would be more better to add in features to let alliance and horde work together, like a major Burning Legion incursion into our cities (that only attack level 80s by the way.) that would encourage less pvp (which is very boring and dull and also rather primitive) and more on cooperation, which we all need to do as a whole in and out of the game.
