Hey.
I've been seeing that alot of pallys are a little confused about the Protection Talent 'One-Handed Weapon Specialization'.
Just to clarify...
1H Spec increases ALL damage by 5%, not just weapon damage.
This means that with a 5/5 1H Spec, Retrabution Aura, Blessing of Sanctuary, Consecration, Holy Shield, ect... All do 5% more damage. Not just Auto Attack.
This does NOT work if you have anything other than a One-Hand weapon equiped.

Yeah. I was confused for a while. So I ticketed a GM and That what I was told. After testing it out I decided to make this post. Hopefully this will encourage people to take up the talent. It's really worth it for AoE grinding.

This is an old post but I decided to just scroll all the way back and read some nub posts. Long gryphon flights are boring.
This post proves to me that most prot pallys are dumb. Doesn't anyone read the tooltips anymore?

Is this true for WoW Classic? I noticed that the original post is from 2.2.3. The reported spell effect (see
) is even more confusing:
Apply Aura: Mod Damage Done % (Physical)
Value: 9%

Yeah, it has only become more confusing over time, but it has never prevented us from rocking as Paladins, did it?
