So yeah I realized this today after trying to get my druid new druid with a few Blues and no epics... Yes I just dinged 80 This morning
To run Heroics you need TOC 25 man Gear
To run TOC 25 man You need TOC 25 man gear.
Hell I even got kicked from Reg 5man TOC because I didn't have 25 man TOC gear.
No explain how do I get TOC 25 gear?
My guild isn't up to it yet, and because I don't have TOC25 man gear I can't get into a Guild that does.
Explain how to fix the paradox?

I have the exact same problem on my server. Though not for ToC or H ToC 5 man, but for Naxx and other raids, people don't let those who haven't done it learn and if you can't learn, you can't ever really do it if that continues. Your best hope it to find a group of people nice enough to let you come in and learn.
Though this may be because I don't have vent, follow directions, and can read above the average person.
But hey, just keep trudging and you'll find a group who will let you come, may get lucky and get all you need in a single run and won't have to worry about the achievement or morons.

But to get LFG for H TOC 5 PST epic achievement and TOC achievement. THat is just retarded.

just retarded.
I think you summed up about 70% of the player base.
Stick to the other 30%, pretend the rest doesn't exist.

need to be geared to do runs <------> need to do runs to get geared
need to know fights to get invited <-------> need to get invited to learn fights
while looking for a better guild i was briefly (less than 1 night) in a guild and joined in their naxx 25 pug, downed 2 wings and went on to do plague, wiped on safety dance, people left, needed people for the safety dance but they'd only invite people who knew it, back then that wasn't a lot at all
after a short time listening to the raid leader's snobbish "head up his ass" outlook i knew that wasn't the guild for me
invite people, teach them the fights, hope they get an upgrade or two, then next time ur looking for someone you've got a well geared person who knows the fights or hope they do the same with others and you've got yourself a pug pyramid scheme pumping out well geared knowledgeable puggers while the snobs continue talking about how much they love the smell of their own farts

need to know fights to get invited <-------> need to get invited to learn fights
That's not exactly true... there's nothing like trying the fight yourself (Heigan for one), but for most of them, you can do fine with just reading the strategies online. Problem is no one will care unless you show achievements...
Personally, my only requirement for inviting people is that they understand English well. If they do, the rest is mostly secondary, though decent gear always helps. Maybe it's just me, but I love seeing newly 80s, especially the ones that have no other lv80 character, get some upgrades or maybe their first epic in my group. The warm and fuzzy feeling just beats any badge speed run you could get.

This is kind of like the guilds who ran Ulduar non-stop pre-3.2. In order to get into a guild that ran Ulduar, you need Ulduar gear and experience but in order to get Ulduar gear and experience, you needed a guild that ran Ulduar.
It's a big circle of fail that keeps the elites with the elites and the noobs with the noobs.
I would disagree with you their. When 3.1 came out i took about a month break from raiding did my /gquit and everything. When i came back people were just starting to get the keepers on farm so I decided to start raiding again. I was entirly naxx 25 BiS geared on my Rogue.
I got into a mostly guild run of Uld 10 where i was at the top of the meters. The GM of that guild was actually in that raid and went OMFG and what not. He saw I was guildless and the next day I was top DPS in their 25 man raid.
You don't need the gear to get into a good raiding guild. You just need to know how to push the meters and/or do a damn good job of healing/tanking

Must agree, most people will ignore that you do not have achievement/gear if you can prove you can pull good numbers or seems like a competent guy with knowledges. Try to talk to some of this pug leaders, some of them may not wanna listen if you do not have achievement/already gear from that instance. Just ignore those because they most likely are failed player themselves.
The other type will listen if you come out as competent and can show some dps/heal/tank skills and do have at least minium standard gear required.
People skill does carry weight:)

This reminds me of Kara after Sunwell was released.
Need epics to get into Kara or heroics. Made it hell for people who just turned 70. Fun fun!
But to be fair, BC heroics and raids actually required a little bit of skill as CC wasn't dead yet.
But now? Pathetic.

"Free epix" are not for free, that's the paradox.
