1. did you explain roll rules at first?
2. were the 2 guild warrs (to be tanks) with tank specc?
3. did you mention upfront certain drops would be reserved?
if you can't answere them all three with YES then that warrior has every right to be upset imo...

My question was - Was Fury his main spec? the other 2 "tanks" in the run we speced DPS and switching back to use the sword at a later time - maybe the Pugger was to.
The sad part is - the group needed help, Got help, then treated him like a second hand citizen. Thats just Crap. I agree he may have over reacted, but I Will also agree that the Guildies acted out of line. without help, No one would have gotten the sword.

In my eyes the guild is in the right why?
The 2 DPS were mainly tank spec and was dpsing for tanking gear. Note this since they most likely geared as tanks and not as DPS then they had more right than a 100% fury warrior that is not geared for it.
Now if the guild had 2 dps runing that were dps speced and only thought hey I could use that to tank then yes by all mean the guild is in the wrong but the guild was runing it with 2 dps that were tanks.

I asked my friend just today, and appaently the two tanks that were doing dps
WERE
prot spec and only wearing their ret gear (both were pallies).
So anyone saying that they were dps
spec
(looking at you arsenic123) are just making an assumption. Just wanted to make it clear that they two guild tanks rolling for the sword were normally tanks and were only DPSing on this run because they did not feel they were geared well enough yet to keep agrro from the dps. Thus is why they got one of the tanks more geared tanks to tank it while they put on their dps gear and basicly tagged along for tanking gear.

My thoughts are always that everyone involved should be allowed to roll, if this is not going to be the case it needs to be said upfront when the person joins rather than after they've been "used" to clear the instance.
You cant claim guild run, our loot if you're part PUG.

If not getting an imaginary sword for his imaginary friend sent him into a 15 minute temper tantrum in front of the whole server I tend to think he has slightly larger problems then not getting his phat lewtz.
You mean that if you weren't paid with a silly little piece of paper from your job of inputting numbers into spreadsheets, you wouldn't be upset?
Just because things aren't tangible doesn't mean they aren't worth anything. If Blizzard deleted your account, you aren't losing anything, those are just pixels. Pixels that you put time and effort into aquiring, but pixels nonetheless.
Money is just paper, objects are just strings of molecules.
Nothing is anything, that doesn't mean it isn't important to people.
The problem is that the silly little pieces of paper I get from my job (which, strangely, does not involve spreadsheets) allow me to buy food, which I needs to live.
If Blizzard suddenly up and cancelled my account I'd be upset, yeah. I'll even give it to the guy who lost the sword that he had a right to be annoyed about it. But I wouldn't go out into the middle of the town square and scream at the top of my lungs about it, which is essentially what having a tantrum in the trade channel is doing.
I've gotten upset at stuff in WoW before, sure I have, even though it's just a stupid game. The point is that I can just put on my frowny face for a few minutes, mutter to myself about it, and get over it. I don't immediatley grab the nearest chat channel I can find and complain endlessly about it. All I was really saying is that a lot of the people playing this game need to learn how to handle not getting their way.
It seems to me that a whole heck of a lot of players seem to think the game is all about flying into a petulant rage at the slightest inconvenience or any time they don't get exactly what they want because the game didn't cater to them personally but actually benefitted one of the other millions of players.
