Enchancement, like most other classes/specs can be really good if played correctly.

the only real problem enhance "had" was a lack of anti-CC and anti-snare avaliable.
this has been fixed on WOTLK with ghostwolf now making u inmune to snares, the talent that removes snares when u place earthbind totem, and the spirt wolves giving both sprint and more anti-snare/root.
now, if only tremor totem could work as the talented improved earthbind totem....... (but then of course plp would complain that is too OP; so what the heck do I know? )
now that the main issues with enhance has been fixed, the only real reason the class is so poorly represented in arena pvp brackets, or BG's or global pvp alltogether is simply because they have been at the bottom of the food chain for far too long, and plp haven't got used to enhance shammys actually being good in pvp.
just give it time.

I'm not hardcore pvp'r but i do know when you pop those wolfs you are pretty godly in a 1v1 sitiuation, but on the same note when they are down, i feel pretty weak.
dude that applyes to pve as well :P when I try to solo an elite, I'm an invincilble god as long as the wolves last, the moment they vanish I usually "kick the bucket" 14 secs later.
thankfully most elites can be slain before the wolve's timer runs out.
good god I love that spell, best spell ever made.

I like it for smaller engagements (world pvp, arena, up to maybe the 10v10s in WSG), but in any fight larger than that, I personally don't find it very enjoyable spec to play.
In comprison to ele, that is.
Yeah in a large BG like AV where you tend to fight en-mass a would think ele would win because of the multi-target hitting they can do.
However in capture the flag in WG i love my enhance. I've killed plenty of flag carriers. They just cant get away from you with ice shock, and your wolves can keep you going even with a few people beating on you trying to make you stop lol.
True for most melee classes. You need to learn how to deal with this by 'charging in on a target' then dissapearing back into the masses. The anti-snare + ghost wolf mechanics a ench shammy has makes you perfect for this hit and run tactics.

and they are a hard hard counter to common RMP teams
