Well I've finally made 375 LW and now in the process or farming my the Mats for my ebon set and have a few questions over gems. I am MM specced.
Now in your personal opinion with this set is it better to ignore the socket bonus and just stack +16ap gems and get the hit and crit gems where neccessary or go for the bonuses. These are the gems i were thinking on using. If you know of any others pelase help me.

When I was MM, I was looking at which gems to use as well. I think 16ap in all three will help out a lot. It's a lot of ap total.^^;;
This was a bit ago though, so now I've got all these SV spec ideas. x.x

I put 16 AP gems in all the set's slots on my previous MM hunter, and it worked like a charm :) The set gives you lots of crit rating, so I felt the items already had that "covered".
Some say agility gems are better overall, for all specs, though.

Hunters shouldn't be using 16AP gems, you get more damage out of 8Agil gems (all specs not just surv or bm) and they scale with BoK. Just thought i'd mention that :)
