This may be just me but i've noticed that when i've had a druid tank instances its basically like having 4dps and 1 healer in the group with the druid dealing some pretty good damage while taking a beating...

I can at times top the DPS list in 5-mans as prot warrior. All tanks do much more DPS while tanking after the 3.0 changes. That is not unique to druids. What is unique to druids doesn't really show up until you go into raids; then their versatility allows them to swap between tanking and DPS midfight, as circumstances require. They also have the ability to resurrect in combat.
