Ok, so I've already asked this once on the Druid WoW Forums, although without a solid answer. Therefore I will now ask you people.
I was doing AB on my L80 Warrior, ran up to this Restoration Druid in the downhill slope leading towards GM, fight him for a while, while struggling to keep him at place so that he don't run away from me. Then all of a sudden, he jumps up, turns 180 degrees and flies away from me, landing about halfway down the downhill slope.
Now, what did he just do?
I've checked Armory. He does not have Engineering, and he's playing Dual Specced Restoration (PvE and PvP)
I've looked through the abilities and spells available to a druid, and the only similar ability I could find was the cat's leap or possibly Typhoon.
There were no one else nearby, I checked the mini map right after he "Disengaged" me to see if there were anyone else nearby that might've Typhooned or Thunderstormed him. There were no one but us two there
If, he somehow managed to spec into Balance and get his hands on Typhoon, there is no way I could reflect it due to it being an AoE spell.
So, what did he just do? Please help me shed some light on this issue seeing as I can't seem to get any sleep.

Sounds interesting. Did he "fly" there, or was it more of a "blink"?

Picture yourself a Tauren Male Hunter doing disengage. That's exactly what it looked like.

Got a link to his armory profile?
I usually don't like giving out names etc about the people I'm talking about seeing as I don't know their reaction to it. Although, I seriously need to find out what happened so here you are, now let's get this question answered to once and for all so I can get some sleep.

Although, armory doesn't seem to be working for me, does it work for anyone else?

Probably because of weekly maintenance.

Well, you always have
Wowhead Profiler
, but I dunno what could have caused the disengage. Still looking around though.

did you use any knockback spells.. ?
Nope, only the warrior-restricted abilities, and warriors don't have any knockback abilities afaik?

Here's a test.
Log on to his server and whisper him. :-)

He's been offline the three times I've checked up on him >.< I'll keep trying for sure though.

Sounds like a mini lag spike on your side of things. Akin to having dead bodies sliding around on the ground because your still getting movement info for them... yes it's a tweaky thing to see...

Was he a Night elf druid?
is so, shadowmeld and instant flight form.
In Arathi Basin, he used flight form? OP isn't talking about flight form. He's talking about a druid doing what a hunter does when he hits disengage or when someone gets hit by Typoon, Blastwave, or Thunderstorm.

Or when a player decides to be a queer and plays in windowed mode. You can click on your desktop to induce lag. Your movement becomes terribly erratic and it becomes difficult for melee classes to keep you in front...Horrible trick/cheat but some do it. I've ran into it a lot. As a warrior it's kinda frustrating but you just pick a direction and walk off a bit then face the jabbering idiot and charge...stunned aaaaaaand butchered is all it got the last rogue that decided his stunlocks weren't cheap enough. :) Shame to hear of a horde pulling such stunts...
