Those stories are BS, addons won't give you keyloggers.
He said Ads on the site not addons. And yes ads can and will install key loggers on your computer if you are not careful. I think I recall WH having an issue like that a while back and they just stop displaying adds until the add group they use fixed the issue. Curse won't do something like that.

Sorry, my bad, I was just pretty %^&*ed at the generic statement about many people getting keylogged from Curse, apparently taken out of nowhere...
It's ok, I've definitely done that same a few times here as well.

WiseEclipse
Very usefull for stringing eclipse together and some voodoo for heroism based eclipse proc's as well. Worth roughly 200 dps.

Stance:0 will work for stealth in cat form.
stealth
works as well, and isn't as obfuscated. I had no idea you could use
stance
/
form
for that purpose.
#showtooltip
/cast Ravage; Rake
Personally, I think that Stealth is more obfuscated, since cats actually Prowl. Your choice, but I like stances or forms better. Each to their own.
EDIT:
I personally recommend you not use Curse as a download site. Too many stories of hacks coming from keylogger ads on that site. Try
www.wow-interface.com
instead, or your download site of choice.
Cheers.
I've been using Curse since it was
www.curse-gaming.com
and I have never had a problem with anything. Why? Because you
can't get malware by downloading Lua files
. In order for something to install on your computer, you have to run it. The only other way to get stuff without you knowing it is via browser/java/whatever exploits (usually deployed through ads that have nothing to do with the site that ends up displaying them). Download Adblock and NoScript and use Firefox and you will never have problems with any site again.
I'm just giving people that aren't computer guru's that I personally know many people who have gotten things from the ads on that site and had their accounts hacked. Maybe they weren't smart enough to boost their web browsers beyond the basic download or whatnot, but the fact remains that the Curse website has a long history of ads that have had keyloggers on them, and continues to have such. User beware. If you're righting a guide that hundreds of people are looking at, they deserve to be warned.

Well, technically both are stealth effects. I guess if blizzard added "form" for "stance" they should add "prowl" for "stealth". Whatever.
Pretty much all wow-related sites that buy ads from ad distribution companies are going to have similar problems as the people who are targeting wow players with keyloggers to steal their accounts and profit off of gold sales will be selling malicious ads to the companies that sell those ads to those sites.
Education is a better solution than abstinence. Instead of "Don't go to Curse, there have been issues with people getting keyloggers from ads on that site in the past.", you should say, "Remember, if you're going to be browsing lots of wow-related sites, browse using Firefox with NoScript and Adblock installed."

I'm sorry but that just isn't any more true on Curse than it is here on Wowhead, on WoWInterface or any other wow-related site. I use the site daily and even on chrome which doesn't have any ad-blocking features, I'm perfectly fine. Please quit scaring people away from Curse which is a good and trustable site.
The truth is it is not Curse itself that is to blame... The problem is their ad group they subscribe to... that is technically where the blame should go... Even so the advice to skip Curse is not unfounded. Just because it has not happend to you does not mean it can't. And your resilience to threats has more to do with you running a newer browser with security features to prevent this type of thing happening, while still allowing you to view adds. Most people having this issue are probably running IE6 or earlier. That program had HUGE holes in it.

I'll toss a few of my macros on here, as well as a recommendation for an addon.
#showtooltip
/cast Cat Form; Prowl;
/assist focus
/cancelaura Cat Form
This is really something that I personally had to fiddle with because of a problem I had: On my Rogue, F was my stealth key, on my Warrior F was Battle Stance (CTRL F Defense/Shift F Berserk). Along comes my Druid, and I take the same idea for my "stances". CTRL F for Bear, F for Cat... and uh oh, how do I stealth? So yeah, here it is. F once puts you into Cat. F again puts you into Prowl (F again after that will drop Prowl). I also cheesed in an assist function when in a party and in combat, because F is also my assist button on my Shaman (Man, that F button gets a lot of abuse).
And finally, right clicking it removes cat form (it also activates Prowl for some reason... I gotta tweak it a bit more). Mainly for times when you get the "You can't do that while shape-shifted" error message.
#showtooltip
/cast Swift Flight Form
/cancelaura Swift Flight Form
/use Great Green Elekk
/dismount
/cast Tiger's Fury; Growl;
Another "Holy crap, you have too many things on that button!" macro, I bind it to my V key personally. If you're out of combat, can fly, and aren't on your mount, Flight Form. Press it again and it removes Flight Form (no GCD).
If you're out of combat, but can't fly, it uses a mount (I only have the giant elephant, so no need for a random mount selector). Press it again, and you dismount.
If you're in combat and cat form, it uses Tiger's Fury. If you're in combat and bear form, it Growls.
#showtooltip
/cast Regrowth
Handy, dandy mouse over+ macro.
Mouse'd over a friendly player/NPC? Regrown.
Your target a friendly player/NPC? Regrowth.
Your target's target a friendly player/NPC? Regrowth.
If none of those are true, it casts Regrowth on yourself.
#showtooltip
/use !Aquatic Form
/use Travel Form; !Cat Form
All in one travel form macro. Chooses the most appropriate one for the settings you're in.
I also have macros for Mangle & Shred, but the only thing I added to those was /startattack. Because I hate getting behind something, not having enough energy to use them, and then not attacking until I get the energy.
As for addons: I recommend Satrina Buff Frames. (
Curse
/
WoWInterface
)
I personally use it to track various things like my buff/procs (Tiger's Fury, trinket procs, Omen of Clarity) and I have it separately track debuffs that I've added to the mob (tracks my Mangle, Shred, and Rake) as well as everyone elses debuffs on the mob.
I think its more of a "Well, I already have a mod that can do it, so I don't need ." type of situation for myself... I'd rather not have another addon when one I already have can do the job with a little tweaking.
And if you happen to be running a random dungeon with a Night Elf Druid named
Jinian
from Sen'jin, be nice... I'm still getting used to the class!
