You should play more connect-the-dots.
I don't think you actually have an argument for this. So, I believe that the Catholic Church isn't practicing Christianity accurately. 2 other historical figures also had these beliefs. I still don't understand what that has to do with me. Your first person listed, Luther, was a raging hateful man, who believed that nothing you did affected whether you would go to heaven. Calvin believed that there is no such thing as free will in Christianity. These beliefs are so shockingly contrary to the entire teaching of the Bible, of Christ, that they form the anti-thesis of my beliefs. When I state my philosophies, and then you bring them up, I ask what they have to do with me? Since we hold a single solitary similar viewpoint on a specific organization, but for vastly different reasons, they are somehow like me?
I like beer. So does Obama. All of a sudden that has something to do with me? Obama and I are practically mirror images?
You connect the dots. Because the picture here is a complicated mosaic of information, and you have provided two solitary dots and somehow insisted that the picture is just a line. So, connect them for me. I wait in gross anticipation at how you will explain this.

Uh the side effects of my anti depressants are really bad. But I guess that's what you gotta deal with to not kill yourself. I haven't really eaten for 3 months cause they make me sick. The last month I've lost 25 pounds.. and I was skinny to begin with. Sleeping hurts too, no idea how, but it does.
='(
hang in there little sister. I've done some rudimentary research of pharmacological therapy for depression and it does takes a looooong time to find the correct amount, mixture, and type of anti-depressives because each patient is too different from one another. You must endure the bad parts before the nightmare is finally over.
Over the last few days my wife has keep repeating me "For every Dark Night, there's a Brighter Day waiting".

Face, if you go back a couple of pages there is a Youtube video I linked about the medical causes of Depression - the chronic illness, vs. being depressed for a time based on life stuff, which are two very different things. People who don't understand that they are different things give dangerous medical advice about what medications people do or do not need, and whether or not people need them. They also perpetuate the social stigma associated with having it- as though it weren't actually a chemical imbalance with physical causes, and they should just "eat a bowl of fruit" and get over it. I encourage anyone who has never done any research into the physical processes and chemical reactions involved with chronic depression to do research before giving uninformed, and potentially dangerous, advice.

Very True.
Much to my shame, I was once ignorant enough about the topic to also berate anti-depressants, for which Elura trust me, I am terribly sorry, what I said back then (it must have been a few months back) was nothing more than ignorance speaking, and now I know better.
Depression that is born out of stress and poor living conditions is not the same as Depression that is born out of chemical imbalances in the brain. 2 medical conditions that while displaying very similar symptoms require
RADICALLY DIFFERENT
types of treatments.

On a lighter note, my mention of beer got me a bit thirsty, so I cracked an ice cold Rolling Rock to enjoy. What is it about sunny days that always make beer taste better?

We have your back Elura. I might not be good for many things, but walls of text are one of those things.
@MyTie- I was never much of a beer person- too bitter for me to really enjoy it. I tend to like wince-coolers in the same settings and context in which other people like beer.
@Edan- have you ever watched "The Guild" on youtube?(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##ElhonnaDS##DELIM##

Nice- don't over-think it and try to apply labels when nothing really fits. If you're happy, and he's happy, and everyone is honest, then just be glad it works for you.
Funny story- I once went on a date with this guy, and decided that he was nice and all but not really someone who I wanted to date. And I told him that right in the beginning. So we hung out a lot as friends, and went on non-dates, and talked all the time...and then suddenly one day, a couple of months in, we were dating. And to this day we don't agree on when we actually started dating vs. were just hanging out.
I'm not suggesting that you definitely will be, or should want to be, though. More just making the point that there are a lot of relationships that fall outside labels.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##ElhonnaDS##DELIM##

I understand completely, it's very common that people don't know the difference. I hate "but ur lief is so gud stop whining" the most, it's like... I don't want to be sick, but thanks anyway?
I don't get mad though I just try my hardest to explain it haha.
Its not very common over here. At least I've never heard of anyone having chronic depression, just the standard one (such as my grandma when my grandpa died) which CAN be treated just by standard psychology. Perhaps its because of its uncommonness that people often mistake one for the other. They do display similar symptoms.
We have your back Elura. I might not be good for many things, but walls of text are one of those things.
They help more than some people believe.
I was really sad, down, and gloomy last friday and saturday when the doctors broke the bad news to me. The kind words of encouragement from all of you made me feel much better. I'm still sad that I lost my job, and will also lose a lot of money on this surgery, but I feel like I can overcome this trial and emerge stronger than before BECAUSE of the encouragement I've received from this lovely community =)
Not just here, my guildies (both in my Horde Guild on Duskwood, and my alliance guild on Nazjatar) have also given me a lot of moral support.
it sucks when we can't really do more than just..... well...... "cheer" but given the circumstances, all the support we can provide to each other is worht gold. As much as you wish for my situation to improve Elura, trust me, I also am hoping yours does too, that your depression subsides, that your situation with "dateguy" (at some point you're gonna have to tell us his name and/or nickname..... just sayin' >_>) can evolve into something more, and that you one day become Supreme Overlord of the World.
The guy I went on a date with was here yesterday and we played WoW and Half Life 2 and... stuff. And on valentines day we're going out. He and I stream WoW everyday and text all night. Very strange considering how the date went... we're close friends who happen to be very attracted to each other but not in love. I think I like it.
Maybe that's enough? enjoy your time together and don't overstress so much over whether or not its true love, fling, crush, or other blah-blah-blah. Aint the pursuit of happiness what matters most? if you have a good time with him ,then that's all that matters doesn't it?

I cannot enjoy beer too. Due to being half-Russian, fairly large and experienced drinker, my bladder fills up before beer gives me any sort of buzz. So, I drink whiskey in beer context.
Wow. I'm sorry to hear that.
I don't drink beer to get a physical effect. I usually don't even drink an entire beer. I just like it for the flavor. Right now I'm having it with some southwest style spicy rice.

Blech.
I suppose everyone has different tastes but I'll never see what people find so good about beer. Tastes like bitter stale and moldy water IMO.

did you lose an r, rank?
And did your first r become a capital R?
I was wondering when you'd notice :P
last friday I requested a slight modification to my name. That extra R and the non-capitalized R had been bugging me for years and years. My name is supposed to be a pun on the word "rancor" which is a beast on the star wars universe. (its how you pronounce it in spanish) thus the extra R made no sence, and as a proper name I wanted the first R to be capitalized. When I made my account for the first time 4 years ago, I assumed that the first letter was capitalized automatically, so I typed it all in lowercase. MISTAKE!.
The extra R was a typo that I assumed couldn't be corrected.
