Except a good kitty druid will almost never be rooted/snared. If he was really intent on killing you, you will be dead.

Doesn't work. A cat will sneak up on you and kill you within the stun of pounce.

Like Open said, you need to use your Mirror Image and keep refreshing snares on the druid to force him to shift himself OOM.
Your real challenge is staying alive in the process of trying to run him OOM.

i agree i have a 64 resto druid and and goof knows to shape-shift when u think u got em(shape-shifting removes all movement imparing effects).and when u blink & leave combat it's back to stealth where they "do it from behind"(a boomkin could also beat you with their entangeling roots and wrath spam)..
thats just my expert opinion..lol
Yeah, but when shape shifting costs roughly 25% of your base mana talented, spamming it to get out of snares is anything but economical.
Blink doesn't remove you from combat.
Mages actually have defenses against Boomkins via Mage Armor, Counterspell, and Ice Barrier (If Frost). Against feral druids however, all you've got really is a bigger mana bar and Ice Barrier...

Your real challenge is staying alive in the process of trying to run him OOM.This. Play REALLY defensively until he's OOM. However, you will need WE after the MI is over. For some reason, Blink does not seem to work right vs. Maim, so Blink the Feral Charges. The only window you have for burst is your WE Shatter, and DF. When you DF, do it on a FoF proc, or a Frost Nova. Don't waste it on Water Elemental's Nova.
If you're Arcane: Use MI. Don't spam slow. You'll OOM yourself using that.
Slow costs 12% base mana. Shapeshifting costs 25% base mana. Mages have much lower base mana than any class.
The druid is gonna run out of mana way before you do.

Well, no. You aren't considering the fact that Druids can reduce 80% of the cost of the mana of their shapeshift. Also, they can still white attack us when shapeshifting, and they will gain mana back when they crit. To top that all off, we are not doing any damage while spamming slow.
So can we.
Slow -> ABarr -> Slow -> ABarr
Throw in the occasional POM+AB and Activating AB.
In order to hit us, the Feral has to be close to us. It's hard when they're slowed, so they shapeshift out of it. While they're shapeshifting, we ABarr them. When they're done shapeshifting, we Slow them again. Repeat ad nauseum. Wouldn't that work just as well?
Druids have ways to get close to us, we have ways to get out of range (Frost Nova, Blink, etc.). I just don't think it's that one-sided of a battle, is all. :)
