Single GCD mistakes losing games... way too true with the burst present today.

Bumping for good justice.
3.2 changes to resilience... possible outlook for Holy PvP?
Oh and does anyone know if the 60% speed boost makes your character burst out into the sprint/Battleground speed boost animation? Wouldn't that just be awesome?
I am considering the following build:

Possible but not probable?
If you like the build I do not give you permission to copy it. Just saying.

I've rolled pvp as holy before and hated it...after I specced to disc, I loved pvp. I think one of the biggest problems for holy is that it takes a completely new build to pvp, whereas disc only has a few tp to move around to improve our ability.
I roll w/ 808 resil and tend to be able to solo most rogues (that being in a pve build). Generally, if I get ganked by 2-3 people, I have the survivabilty and healing ability to last long enough to at the very least, seriously annoy my apponents.
Another reason disc seems to have better survivabilty is that our shields mitigate on average 50% more than holy's.
As far as resil goes, sure it's there for damage reduction, but another major part of it for priests is mana burn reduction. When you get into mana burn wars, taking out your opponents mana first is vital.
In the end, I personally find holy pvp a joke. Your native survivability just isn't there, and for Blizz to fix that, it would alter holy's tree to much.

Let's pretend that you can keep alive just as long as a Disc priest while specc'd Holy. Here are still some cons:
- No Renewed Hope means less damage mitigation for your entire party.
- Less mana and mana cost reducing talents. This is also bad.
- No Penance. You lack the one hardest-to-interrupt casted, going through LoS heal. Oh, and it's significantly cheaper than and around as strong as Greater Heal.
- Weaker shield.
- Focused Will > Blessed Resilience. Not only does it offer 9% more healing on yourself in a full stack, but it offers raw damage mitigation. Oh, and it stacks by threes, making it that much harder to get dispel/purge spammed.
- 1.5 second cast Mass Dispel. You're not hitting anything in time for Mass Dispel to even matter. That, or you're getting interrupted while casting this. Have fun.
- Wearing PVP gear, you'll have absolutely NO haste at all, or you'll have to waste vital stats to get some. Have fun with 1.5s cast Flash Heals.
- No Power Infusion = you're lacking the option of PI + Mana Burn spam, PI + Holy Fire/Smite spam, and most importantly, PI + Haste Trinket + Haste Shield + Divine Hymn for MASSIVE Healing that GOES THROUGH LOS AND AFFECTS UP TO THREE GUYS AT A TIME.
- You don't really have an easy way to trinketlessly keep your teammates alive if you are CC'd hard in the beginning. What if you get sapped while facing a Double Rogue team? You're gonna have to trinket out of that if you don't want to 1v2 already and give your partner Guardian Spirit. Oh, and Guardian Spirit only returns 25% health if you have a Mortal Strike/Wounding Poison/Aimed Shot on you.
- Body and Soul... is amazing against certain teams. Goofing around in rated matches, my brother and I went to arena as Holy / Prot with no PVP gear whatsoever. We lasted about 10 or so minutes against a 1850~ish Match Making Rated Druid + Lock team. Since I ran so fast, I effectively avoided nearly every Fear/Cyclone/Root cast. Body and Soul also let my Prot Warrior stick on whoever he wanted. Curse of Exhaustion sucked. However, against any other team, Body and Soul won't help with your lack of mitigation talents and constant rooting/purging/CCing.

The only advantage I can think of for holy in arena is Guardian Spirit. Normally the healer dies first, so if your doing, say, 2s, that gives your parterner 15s (21 glyphed) of free healing to murder whoever he's attacking. You'll get a slight advantage over that, but otherwise, the above poster mentioned some very good reasons why disc is superior.
