Does Retribution Aura tag mobs?

Tagging, as in being the first to damage a mob so it becomes yours to kill. Retribution Aura damages a mob when it attacks you, but does it also tag?

I can see where you are comming with this but no. Nor does a mages molten armor or a druids thorns.

Or just toss a Divine Storm. That's what I do when trying to beat out someone on mob tagging, when I'm on a quest or something. I just mass pull and Divine Storm, Consecrate, and then burn them down.
