Hi..
I am a DK tank and I've been wondering about something for quite some time..
Is it only me, or are DK tanks taking like MUCH more dmg than pala/warrior tanks?
I have a healer too, and when I grp with a blue/epic pala, he almost doesnt need healz... But, when Im tanking with my almost full epic DK, I need like constant healing...
Is it just me or?
here is my armory link:

Fail DK tank is fail. We don't need a shield...plenty of skills and talents that make up for it. Depending on your spec will determine how exactly you'll mitigate the damage. Blood does it by self-healing, Frost does it by armor and stamina, Unholy does it by avoidance and magic reduction. They all work, just gotta pick one and learn it. In any spec, if you don't have 5/5/5, you fail.

Pally tanks takes less dmg than any other tank, but NEEDS to be constantly healed to regen mana.
Warrior tanks is a "balanced" tank. They have good mitigation through block, dodge, parry. But rely heavily on taking dmg to generate enough rage.
DK tanks. Takes spikey dmg when their CD-based abilities are on cd.. Overall DK and Druids typically needs a larger hp pool than warriors and pally to tank similar content. Say a pally tank with 25k hp unbuffed would be equivalent to 30k unbuffed DK tank - assuming all other stats are equivalent.
I have a warrior tank and a dk blood tank. For some reason it's easier for me to hold aggro on boss with warrior tank, not to say I can't do it with my DK.
I have a shaman healer, and it's about the same healing for DK(blood) and Warrior. I think healing for Unholy tanks are a bit tougher than Blood and Frost Tanks. Blood Tanks being easier to heal than the other two. Pally needs less heal, but our guildie pally tank complains when I don't keep healing him because he dont get mana back if I dont heal him. So I end up overhealing the Pally a lot more.

Ummm did they change it so overheals return mana now? I used to think it helped their mana so would toss the
Surge of Light
procs when fights were over and the pally tank was full because it would cost no mana. But if the heal doesn't actually provide healing it doesn't bring back the mana.
I'm not entirely sure about this. Havent done it in 3.3 yet. But back in 3.2 and beyond, I have to keep healing so his mana pool remains healthy. Especially when we run Heroics with our super uber t9 gears, I can basically heal a pally tank in Elemental spec.
You might have to ask pally about that.
