Find what disturbing... From your post, you are making a proposition/hypothesis, contradicting your proposition then agreeing with your proposition.

lolwut? Grammatically speaking, you changed the NOUN in question to the Felguard. The felguard was assigned "He", while the doomguard was forgotten.
After reading your post a few times, I think I get what you mean:
I am specced 41/30, so my pet should be able to out damage all other pets right? Wrong. He out damages by a fair amount. Does anyone else find this disturbing...
Answer is, no. The Doomguard is the most powerful pet, hands down... The thing is, you don't get the benifits of Master Demonologist when you have your DG out. You DO still get Demonic Knowledge, but MD is a straight up 5% damage boost. Also, DG is on a one hour (To be changed in 3.1) CD.
Whether or not that 5% loss is worth it is up to you. Also, post 3.1, Demo locks will have absolutely ZERO reason to EVER have a DG out. It simply won't be worth it.
