So, does anyone know what the formula is for how skills increase, like defense? Is it a straight chance to gain a skill point every time you get hit? Does the mobs level matter? Obviously you current amount of skill matters, because getting that last point is dang near impossible.
I want to know what the formula is, so that I can get that last point, from 349 to 350 defense as easy as possible. I'd like to just stand around letting level ones hit me until I get it, but I want to know if I'd just be wasting my time.
Thanks for any/all help!

I don't think a level 70 can get defense skill up on lower level mobs, had them hitting me for over an hour, and no go.
Does anyone have the formula for skillups? Or has it never really been researched?

Never thought about it. it has always just come to me, at least defense skill since I get hit so much just killing stuff. Weapons on the other hand, I would go outside shatt and wear tanking gear and spam rend with whatever I am trying to skill up. I would think you would have to be hitting a mob that would be considered green. Say at level 70 a lvl 63 is the last green mob. That would mean you have to be hitting at least a lvl 63 to get from 345-350 skill. A lvl 62 (grey for lvl 70 but not for skill level).

I don't actually know the formula for this, but I think getting hit by any mob should have a chance to increase your defense skill. The problem is that if you have 349 defense, a level five mob can't hit you--they keep getting miss, dodge, block, parry, etc. which don't count as "hits" for purposes of upping your defense.
I'm not sure where I heard that though, so it's very possible it could be wrong.
