All numbers are before dimishing returns.
You need 45.25 dodge/parry rating to get 1% dodge/parry.
You need 41 defense to get 1% of dodge, parry, miss.
Assuming you have (close to) equal amounts of dodge/parry, defense will give you more avoidance for your buck.
Since the nerf (though very slight) to dodge it's even better than before.
Defense does not have a seperate DR, the avoidance it adds suffers from respective ratings DR.
You need about 200 defense rating to get 41 defense though ;)
4.92 defense rating = 1 defense skill = .04% miss/dodge/parry = .12% total avoidance pre-DR
9 defense skill = 44.28 defense rating = 1.08% total avoidance pre-DR
41 defense RATING is approximately equal to 1% avoidance pre-DR

on the subject of defense could someone varify this formula for ardent defender's health return from a
post
The formula is: (amount of "extra" defense skill)*(your max HP)*(0.3 / 140)
ie. (defense skill - 400) * (max health) * (0.3 / 140)
may have an impact on def vs dodge/parry

That just means that 1 defense skill, ~5 defense rating, has ~0.7% increase to the health restored via Ardent Defender.
or that 1 defense rating gives you ~0.15% more hp on the heal.
that means for 40k buffed hp, that's an extra 60 hp on the heal, if you find that appealing, sure, if not, meh.

i have a question, do u see any atvantage to put a 10agi +15 stam over 10parry +15stam if u see ur are abit over the 1.88 (around 1.91)?
cause as i understood it (and i may be worng ofc) agi won't increace ur dodge rate but u will still get more dodge and also armor and crit that they r also good for tanking.

Dodge from agility suffers the same diminishing returns as from any other source.
