Death knight professions

I recently started playing WOW again, after about a year without. I started a Death knight right away, I already had a 70, and I was really excited about this kick @$$ new class. As I started playing, I found myself thinking about gold, and how much I would need it later on, even more so when I want to get a flying mount (which I was not able to get on my 70 because I was lazy -_-). So I started looking at professions and which ones would best get me the gold I need. Mining is a something I know Ill need, its one of the best gold making professions in the game, if not THE best. The problem is leveling it up, how do I get it up quickly so that I dont have to run around low level areas to try and mine. Anyone have any suggestions? Another question I had, was what other profession should I take?
