Darkmoon Card: Greatness
Is probably one of the best trinkets PvE for a Mutilate specced rogue. With
Darkmoon Card: Death
being a great PvP trinket.

Well, Greatness is an awesome trinket, and obviously alot better then Berserker.
Death is a nice trinket aswell, not sure if it's that good.

You don't want both Greatness and Death; you want Greatness and a trinket that gets rid of impairing effects.

You clearly haven't read my post. I've listed the trinkets seperatly, one's better for PvE than the other and vice versa.
I didn't say use them both

Yea, Greatness is amazing for PvE. Death is a great PvP trinket, complimented with something that removes movement impairing effects.

is about 4th best trinket available to PVE rogues. If you PVE seriously you should definitely get one, it will be a looooong time before you replace it*.
*There are 3 trinkets better:
Grim Toll
,
Mjolnir Runestone
and
Dark Matter
.
Grim Toll
drops from Naxx 25, the others are Ulduar Hard modes. Come 3.2/3.3 i'd expect to see other trinkets go ahead of it too.
For PVP you are likely better off with a burst on demand trinket like
Platinum Disks of Battle
from Wintergrasp.

the problem imho in that trinkets is the huge amount of hit which is not needed by any rogue, since reaching the poison cap is a must if you want to raid.
dark matter instead is really a great trinket. hope i can get my hands on it (im very doubtful tbh).

Greatness is one of the best trinkets for both PvE and PvP. I use Greatness. I did have Death before it worked. But when Greatness procs it is absolutely amazing. If you can afford Greatness get it. Don't get Death unless you can't afford neither Greatness or Mirror of Truth.

Let's not give false information here, Combat rogues value ArP a LOT more in BiS gear than assassination rogues, for example, DMG:greatness is a better trinket for a mut rogue than: Grim Tol (If you're Poison Hit Capped)
Not 100% sure about Mjonlnir but with the static crit it's probably about as good.

What's the poison cap?
315 Hit with 5/5 Precision without debuffs, but it goes down to 237 if you're in a raid environment with debuffs (Imp FF or Misery) on the boss. Any hit past the poison hit cap starts to become inferior to other stats.
