For holy I'd definitely say Darkglow.
For disc, Lightweave is nice, but I prefer Darkglow. A sp proc like Lightweave is down far more than it's up, making it less than ideal for healing.

Impressive list of BoEs waiting for when you ding 80, but I feel I should point out that Mantle of the Eternal Sentinal is leather. ;-)
For what it's worth, I agree with Turkey.

For healing, go with Darkglow. Random sp procs are nearly worthless, but random mana procs are great. You can't count on the sp to aid you in Lightweave, you can, however, always use more mana.
For shadow, Lightweave is easily superior to Darkglow. Here, a consistent dps isn't as important as an average dps over the course of a fight.

If you already have 2 Deathchill cloaks, just put Darkglow on one and Lightweave on the other and switch them around to see what you like? (Assuming gold's not a problem for you)

From the posts
I have read
on the procs
DG
has a 30% proc rate
LW
has a 50% proc rate, and both have a 45 sec internal cooldown. DG = up to about 33 Mana/5, LW = up to about +83 SP. Then it all depends on your "Personal Theorycraft" as to how much you weigh stats. For me I dig SP, have used both, and I like LW better for any Priest spec. Anyways GL.
For me, it's not the proc rate that matters, it's the cd. Lightweave = a totally random sp party for 15 secs followed by a 45 sec hangover. Darkglow provides mana you can use at your existing sp roughly every 45-50 secs depending on procs. As a healer, I'll take Darkglow and sub out some mp5 gear where I can because of it.

When you just hit 80, you can't "sub out mp5 gear." Remember the context. Stat weighting is also irrelevant if you can't last the length of a heroic boss. When you hit 80, stat weighting boils down to a binary variable: do I need mana (longevity) or bigger heals (throughput)? Everything else is secondary at that moment, and will come into play only as you gear up.
Start out with darkglow. When you no longer need the mana feed, switch to lightweave. If you have the luxury of trying them both out (with 2 DC cloaks), power to you.

Lol it's not the eternium thread that's expensive, it's the
Ebonweave
or
Moonshroud
that are required for the embroideries. Each one of them has an opportunity cost of around 60g. So swapping 200 times is a tidy investment of about 12k gold.
If you're going to invest some bucks in having alternatives at the ready, I'd recommend keeping just one Deathchill with Lightweave on it, and getting a
Wispcloak
made to host Darkglow. That way you have the strongest regen combination when you really want it.
Wispcloak + Darkglow is (IMO) the absolute best combination for new 80 healpriests.

For Holy: Darkglow - You simply cannot justify the loss of this much MP5 for some SP, which isn't as strongly weighted for a holy priest.
For Disco or Shadow: Definitely Lightweave. Not even a question.
For any other caster (except maybe Resto Shaman): Lightweave. hands down.

Lol. I just finished looking at a WWS report from yesterday's 25 man raid, and the
most
mana Darkglow returned in a single encounter was 3300 (in a 12 minute Mimiron kill).
I'm switching back to Lightweave immediately, and you can disregard anything I ever said in it's favor. Lightweave may not be perfect, but Darkglow is pretty pathetic as it currently stands. Maybe the buff in 3.2 will improve it, but it has a long way to go.
That said, the mana return from Darkglow is decent at lower gear levels. It just scales horribly as gear improves.
