The new combined
Curse of Weakness
doesn't mention anything in the tooltip about stopping mobs running like the current
Curse of Recklessness
does.
Has anyone tried this on the PTR and can confirm or deny?
(I'm at work atm and can't test it.)

Hmm, why nerf that utility?
Would it really be so OP to stop them running as well?

think it's probably 'cause nobody cares ^^
neither curse is currently on my actionbar never mind on a keybind. i can't remember the last time a runner was a problem but the last time it was i definitely wasn't quick enough to use recklessness on them.
...thinking about it, the last time i used recklessness in this way was when we could still do fear juggling. since they made it only work on fleeing mobs it's not been wortth the hassle.

So the new curse is simply a melee debuff?
Seems like the only people casting this will be Deep Destro 'locks in melee-heavy HCs where the debuff won't get overwritten. So hardly ever then.
Deep Affliction 'locks won't cast this over CoA as the DPS loss would be too great and Deep Demo or Demo hybrids will need CoA to proc MC.
Looks like Blizz needs to try harder if they want this curse to be viable in PvE.

i really don't see any reason to have this curse on my bars even after the change, -478 of AP isn't a bad debuff but is far away of "decent".

It could be useful in cases where you're having threat issues.
Not only will you be doing less damage (and therefore generating less threat) but the tank will be doing more damage due to the armor debuff and generating more threat.
Though this is obviously only true where there isn't a stronger armour debuff available from the group or raid.

Thinking about it some more, there is a simple solution to the curse problem, change CoA to be an affliction effect that's not a curse.
That way we'd be free to use whichever curse-based debuff is appropriate without hurting our DPS.
