Contest entry: My favorite moment in world of warcraft!
I am going to tell you about the first time I came to a Island, that not many people has been or know of, I think.
This Island is just south of Tanaris and you can not even see it on the map.
Trust me, If you go to the southest Tanaris, you will see the island.
I have been there two times, and both times was a great experience! It felt so go to come to this island, and it is not easy to come there.
First time I were there, were when I was level 40 on my main rogue. I had a shaman with me, becuse it will go much faster if we walk on water, but what we didn't know was that the island were so long out that you could not even come to it without missing any health.
I jused my Sprint an just ran and ran and ran to the island, and then the time ran out and I started to lose Health, I never tho I was gonna make it, but I had an Health pot and I was maby 200 Health from daying, when it unexpected didn't miss anymore.
What a feeling! I was on an Island that maby no one had been on, just becuse it is so hard to come to.
The Island was like an "Gnome Island", small houses, small beds, everything on the Island was small and tiny, Perfect for Gnomes! Just perfect for me! i was an Gnome Rogue =D, but one bad thing was that it were level 43+ mobs on the Island, so I could not move as I wanted.
The island was in two parts, North and South! In the middle it was an big pumping machine, like an oil pump out in the water. I went up on it, and it was high, I scrolled out so I could see everything! When I looked back on Tanaris I could not see it anymore, like it just had disapper! So i just had the Island to Look at, Feel on! This was a one time experince and I realy hope I one day, maby can expeince somthing like this again! Who knows! They maby geting one more Island that has no use what so ever!
Sadly that the Shaman did not make it, he could not share the feeling with me. It was realy big for me!
And for People who is reading this, If you going to try to come to the island, Be rogue and Shaman, and if not, You will die atleast four times befor comeing there :) So do not have your gear on! :)
Sincerely
Shamainy

My whole family played wow at one time, were weren't very good, we didn't have good gear, but it was still fun. One day we decided to pvp together, in wsg. We had the best time ever, me and my brother went off to try and get the flag but every one in the battle could kill us in like 3 hits, so we didn't ever get very far, so we gave up and went to play D with my sister and mother. It was the best! we were unstoppable no one could get past us. Since we were all right next to each other we didn't need to type or use vent/team speak. Ya,, it was fun

My favorite moment was when, after many many days of logging on and checking the auction house, managed to get the full Lambent Scale set (shield and cloak too - the whole nine yards). My first character was a warrior which I still have (155 days played I believe?) and I can safely say that picking this class for my first time 'round was the best thing I ever did. I never would've had the patience to level one if I started off as a rogue or mage because it's just too damn difficult. Consider, though, that I did this warrior leveling about a week/month after release.
I also felt the need to edit this in order to say that YES, this is the most special thing I remember aside from getting the full valor set which still pales in comparison to the nub joy I had back then with the lambent scale.

My favourite moment came before BC was released. My guild had broken up to weed out the casual & bad people, and we reformed to be a serious raiding guild. We sailed through Molten Core fairly easily, doing it at times with 30 or less raiders. I'll never forget the first time I ran into the area where Ragnaros lay waiting for us. Watching the speech he gave and listening to his voice coupled with the music was simply outstanding. I remember taking screenshots and showing a friend what I was doing because it was too amazing to enjoy by myself. To this day I believe Ragnaros has the best voice in the game and I loved going back there recently with nine or ten other people to kill him once again.

I have lots of awesome moments in my WoW career, but my favourite one has to be when I did the Molten Core pre-quest on my very first level 60 character. Okay, let me explain what this great moment was. My first character was a Dwarf Hunter, accompanied by a big brown bear. My guild was raiding MC with two other guilds, that had an alliance together for bigger raids. When one of the guilds jumped out of the alliance, we got problems and needed more people, and here's where my story begins.
Even though I wasn't very active, and my gear wasn't the best, the guild liked me enough to convince me to join MC. So they gathered a group to help me finish the MC pre-quest in Blackrock Depths. Everything went smooth, and when finishing it, of course I wanted to have a look inside the new awesome instance I had unlocked. So me and a warlock stayed in a group together and jumped inside. I was like "OMG this is freaking awesome!", and then I noticed the huge giants guarding the bridge, I almost fell off my chair. Now to my entry.
When looking at these two huge guards, the warlock joked with me and said "bwehehe, let my imp pull them >:D", and he started casting a firebolt with the imp. I was like "ehh, what the heck, let's do it the real way!" and I threw away a shot with my gun at them and ran. The warlock was utterly surprised, because he thought he would just scare me with the imp thingey, then cancel casting. Anyway, both of us started running, and laughing like never before... I stopped right before the gate and turned around really fast, to get a glimpse of them running. I was like "WHOA!", because they were almost there, so I turned around again to jump out.
When I looked in the combat log, I noticed two lines:
"Molten Giant missed you."
"Molten Giant missed you."
That was my epic moment. Sorry for a long post, but I wanted you to get everything around it to build a story feeling. As for the beta key, I think I have no chance anyway ^_^ Just look at all the pages of posts already, and this is the first day.
*Edit*
This is not an entry, but I thought I would share it anyway. I'll try make this shorter, because no need to build up the story feeling.
I had recently dinged 70 on my Blood Elf Paladin. I had played holy spec all the time, so I knew how healing worked. Anyway, my guild lacked healers for The Eye, so they asked me to join. I told them it would be no use, because I would make no difference anyway. But they had a spot open, and noone to fill it, so they convinced me to jump in anyway. If not for the experience and feeling.
So, I decided to join anyway. I had never before entered The Eye, so this was really exciting for me. They headed for Solarian, so I just followed them, doing the little healing I could. We downed her on the third try.
It was kind of epic for me to have downed a boss in The Eye before I had even done the pre-quest for Kara.
Here
is a link to a screenshot. Look at the /played in the chat, and I hope you don't mind the Swedish they wrote in. ^_^

My favorite moment in WoW
Must be when I first time got my epic in Pre TBC in MC, and first time taken ragnaros down.
It really felt like a great time and that 40 people could work together getting such a hard boss down was really great for me. First time to get a tier also really felt great because then I felt a little "cool" being one of those who raided and had epics ^^

My favorite moment in World of Warcraft has propably been the moment I was level 40 the first time ever, on my mage, Slipe. I had just leveled to 40, and had exactly 4 golds and 23 coppers, was just in a run of Scarlet Monestary - Cathredal with a friend of mine, a level 70 warrior. He politely asked me how am I doing with the money for my mount and such, as he had problems with the personally at the days. So I told him how well was I doing with my mount money .. So anyways, we ran through the Scarlet Monestary (

), I got a necklace from there, he took me to Durotar, to Zjolnir (
http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=7952
) and gave me the money for my mount, and riding skill. I was SO happy at the moment. It was suprisingly good feeling to ride to Ragefire Chasm with my brand new mount, and boost a friend of mine there.
Definately the best moments ever for me.

One of my favorite moments in wow would have to be a pretty recent one actually. There's the quest outside of Ironforge to honor the heroes of the past as we all know. Well I'm not the most avid loremen to be honest but a party of paladins all suited up in our most glorius looking gear and rode all the way out to Uther's Tomb from Ironforge. We then proceeded to pay tribute to Uther and even though like I said I'm not the most knowledgeable on lore in that moment I felt truly immersed. Yea, that's definitely a moment I'll never forget.
(Oh and the book you receive from the quest has a special place in my bag in front of my mounts and hearthstone.)
Uther always shall know glory and light!

Love this contest idea! I'd have to say my favorite moment was finally going back to Hellfire at 70 and 4 manning a fel reaver for my Shattered Halls key. After all that time in Hellfire the fel reavers became my most hated and feared enemies, seemingly agroing me out of nowhere, and the satisfaction that finally came with taking one down felt soooooooo great at the time!

Ah, maybe when we first downed Lucifron at 2.30am, with only 36 people in the raid, in 2005.
Or my first deadmines, with mass aggro in the tunnels ...
Or the AQ40 Twins, when we finally downed them.
Or C'Thun and the ectic phase 2 !
The day when I opened AQ doors and got the legendary mount, meh, that wasn't really great. Downing bosses is the best :)

Oh this takes me back... to the old days of BWL.
I remember all the 3-20% wipes on Nefarian because of the Constructs. But after around five weeks of struggle manage to push him down. Ventrilo crashed 'cause of 40 man yelling at the same time. Ol' good days, ol' good days.
Anyway the finest memory I have is when I just hit 70 with my Mage. I had a guild called "Söta Snokar" ("Cute Grass Snakes") this was fairly late in TBC and we were all experienced and was going in to clear Kara fast. We stepped in and took down the first horse. After that a dude states in Vent: "Hey guys! That was Söta Snokar's first killed mob in a raid, shouldn't we take a SS?" and we all said yes, we gathered up and took the SS. And that was the only mob we downed in Kara that day. We wiped on the next pack and nobody cared and HS. But the SS, it's a wonderful memory of fail. Haha, I laugh when I think of it.
Over and out.
