My favourite moment was definatly in AV. It happened years ago. I was playing on my Gnome Warlock and I wanted to summon an Infernal. But when the Infernal meteor landed it hit a stealth Undead Rogue, who was on low health. I didn't even know there was a Rogue nearby, but you can image how hard I laughed when I saw him instantly dying from the Infernal impact!
Priceless :P

Back in February of 2007 a good online friend of mine had a crazy idea to try and get donations of in game gold for his epic flying mount. Due to his play style it would have taken him months and months to farm for it and he was looking for a quick way to get it so that he could zip around Outlands like the hellcat that he is. As compensation for the donations he agreed to get our realm's unofficial forum name and slogan tattooed on his ass cheek. The tattoo would read: Garithos.com
Swallow Or It's Going In Your Eye!
Yeah, pretty stupid, but needless to say that this idea sparked a lot of interest in the community and people wanted to make it happen. Playing on a smaller server word spread quickly and a lot of donations started to come in. I was appointed to be the escrow for the alliance side so that people wouldn't feel like they were giving my friend their gold and he wouldn't make good with the tattoo.
Fifty gold here, ten gold there, people were donating what they could and I was keeping a running tab of all of their donations. As we started to near our goal, people started to bail out on large donations that they promised to give and the whole idea started to look like it wasn't going to work out. Disheartened by this we still pushed on, determined to have this bat-&*!@-crazy idea become a reality.
Strings were pulled and favors were called in and we finally had the total that we had set out for. Everything was looking awesome until it came time to get the horde funds transferred over to the alliance side; no one had considered the 15% cut that the goblins take. With this idea already floating around our unofficial and the official realm forums for almost a month we weren't sure if we would be able to find anyone else that would come up with this missing cut, but we did!
The donations were in and now it was time for my friend to stick to his promise and get the tattoo. He had told everyone that he would post a picture and an actual video of the tattooing so that they would know that he didn't just
Photoshop
the tattoo onto a picture of his butt. Everyone, including myself, was anxiously waiting to see the video after the full amount was finally confirmed.
A few days go by and he goes off to his tattoo appointment with a couple of his friends to laugh at him and video tape this epic moment. He uploads the video onto YouTube after editing it the rest of that day wearing his cling wrap diaper and makes a post with the link on our forums (also on the official realm forums, but it was shortly deleted by mods); everyone goes ape*!@#.
This is, without a doubt, my all time favorite WoW moment simply because I can say that I helped get a guy to tattoo his ass for no real monetary value. Not only was this hilarious, stressful, and completely awesome, but it was foremost absolutely fun. This memory is definitely the most legendary that I've ever had while playing any online game and I think that it's safe to say that its spot won't be taken for quite some time.

My favorite moment was Pre-TBC, in the good ol' days of World-PVP in Ashenvale. When there weren't any BG-Leader in the major cities.
I remember seeing our servers' best PvP guild standing in outside the BG entrance. They were all in there finest PvP gear. With the old ranks like 'Marhsal' and 'Knight-Champion' etc ..
I remember thinking 'Wow, I've gotta play with these guys!'. So I did BG's like everyday for 6 good months.
Eventualy I reached the rank 10 'luitenant Commander'. The title came with a full set of PvP gear and I was finally able to join those premades. Everyday was fun, I mean good ol' fun! Killing horde in WSG, AB, and sometmes in AV. Me and my team would always win, sometimes the opposite faction just undressed and danced around the WSG flag because they knew it would be a lost cause the fight one of the best premades on the server.
I miss those days, especially since TBC came out with the new arena's. Many people say it, and i will say it again: PvP isn't what it used to be!

My favorite wow moment was when I leveled up my warlock for the very first time. Every quest was new and exciting and there was always something to do that iv never done before. When I first started playing wow I remember playing it every day until like 3 in the morning and never getting bored and always excited to log on the next day.

My favorite moment would have to be my second UD Stratholme run back at level 59. The Baron's mount dropped and I said "!" in raid chat (hey, it was a really long time ago), and so did a few others. Once people realized why I was spamming exclamation points everyone flipped out, naturally.
I won the mount with a roll of 97 :)

Once I was a Warlock of the 60th level. After entering the Dark Portal, I flew t'wards Honor Hold, and decided to take the immediate action against the Horde, and took the Quest "Hellfire Fortification".
Upon entering the Broken Hill, I turned on my PvP flag, and sat there waiting, whilst I took over the location.
Unsuspectingly, I turned around just when a Rogue tried to backstab me. The rogue and I stood there, just watching eachother for 2 whole seconds. I myself was stumbled by the fact that he missed me, and he was probable bedazzled by the fact that he failed in his attempt.
The next thing he knew was that he was mad with terror, trying to flee the scene, yet I had already used my knowledge of the Fel energies to corrupt his soul, curse him with agony, and Immolate his inner being. All that remained were some Shadow Bolt to finish the job.
After that day, I believe all the rogues that share the battle group with me have vowed to make me pay for what I did that day, for I have never ever been able to pass a rogue without taking at least 50% damage in PvP...

My favorite moment was
finally
dinging 60.
I was rather altoholic back in the day, constanly rerolling new classes, often just switching races because I didn't like something about the way undead swim, tauren swing their weapons, night elves cast, etc.
Then I finally chose one character I loved - a troll shaman, which is my main to this day.
I remember levelling post-50 being rather harsh and brutal, with all the 60's running about their buisiness in every area you could quest in. Naturally, you'd get ganked.
That was also the time when
Molten Core
became popular and pve "raiding" came to everyone's minds. Part of my levelling experience was helping my priestly friend get the
Eye of Shadow
from the elite demons in the
Darkwhisper Gorge
for his
Benediction
. 'twas a long grind, in the end we managed to get two - one for him, second on our way out of there. That second Eye happened to finance my epic land mount later on.
And then, the final quest between me and my first max level character -
Glyph Chasing
. A wild chicken run through hordes of elites, a dozen of corpseruns, attempts to solo at least one of the bugs, rezzing at spirit healer, enormous repair taxes, two hours of wasted time and the sweet, sweet sound of "ding" and the bright splash of light and text spam in the chatbox.
Took me two years to do it. I still play that troll shaman, even though I have a bunch of other 70's, most of them epixxed out in badge/t5 loot. I always complete that quest on every toon I level now. It's kind of a waystone to me - a sign that I am done with Azeroth and vanilla WoW with it, and can move on to TBC and Outland.
Well, that is my story. Now gimme the beta key, I want a Troll Death Knight!
