My absolute favorite moment was finally hitting 70 on my first character. I chose a druid so there are many challenges along the way to 70. I was in a guild with people who already had multiple 70s so it was pretty lame to them, but I was so proud of myself. Now when I am raiding and enjoying the higher end content, it is worth all the pain of leveling!
My favorite zone is Zangarmarsh, SO beautiful!

Through all my 4 years of playing WoW as a hardcore raider, through all the trials and tribulations, triumphs and let-downs, the highest of highs I had the pleasure of experiencing was the night my guild, <Exiled> of Aerie Peak, killed Kael'thas.
Our epic journey towards this moment was nothing to scoff at, but the memory that plays greatly in my mind has to be the night we finally killed Kael'thas. This of course was before he was nerfed originally, when this fight was widely regarded as the hardest TBC had to offer -- and even ranked in difficulty among highly revered fights such as Kel'thuzad and The Four Horsemen.
My guild's battle with Kael began with a bang. Even the trash to get to him was a pain, especially for me, being a rogue. As I recall it, every other mob had some form of AoE that would kill the squishy leather wearing melee heroes. This did wonders for my ranged weapon skills, but other than that, the repair bills inevitably shot through the roof.
Nevertheless, we met with Kael later that night after learning how to deal with the trash, the hard way. Much learning was had, along with many disappointments. We weren't thrilled with how a couple of people were performing, namely 2 of our tanks who many of us deemed incompetent(They shall remain nameless for all intensive purpouses). We had known they weren't true end game material prior to Kael, but up to that point we were able to 'carry' them, if you will. Needless to say, this was the source of many-a-headache. During the month and a half of learning the fight, we picked up a new tank.
After a month or so of wipe after wipe after wipe, our new tank seemed to be doing well and things were looking up. We finally started making respectable progress and spirits were lifted. As fate would have it, we would soon lose our primary FR warlock tank to real life. This dealt a swift blow to our morale. But, good fortune was smiling on us, as the replacement we got for our fallen warlock comrade turned out to be one of the brightest most competent people I've ever met, and he had the skills to show for it.
Finally, after months of fine tuning, wiping, laughter, and tears, the night came. We deemed this to be the night we slayed Kael'thas and entered T6 content. This would be the night we went from mediocre to top of the food chain. We felt it in our bones. Even still, after so much time learning and fine tuning, the fight gave us problems and inevitably people's hopes for killing him that night started to fade. We usually ended our raids around 12:00 PM and the time was nearing. We decided to make one more lazy attempt at it since we had just re-cleared trash 30 minutes before. Things started out smooth, phase 1 went down without a hitch, (Witch was a problem on many occasions, sadly) as well did phase 2. Phase 3 was the one that gave us problems, we couldn't get the weapons down fast enough before the advisors spawns and gave us a cold hard beating. Well, this time, we executed flawlessly. It was a thing of beuty as the rogues sliced and diced, the mages exploded with arcane magesty, and the warlocks burned those weapons to a crisp. This was the moment where people started to realize this could be the attempt. Phase 3 went down without a hitch.
So now we find ourselves on phase 4 and neither of us has had much experience with actually fighting Kael himself other than reading strategy guides online, which I find pretty ironic. So here we are, pounding on Kael'thas, adrenaline pumping and heart racing, when I realized it had been so long since I had read up on phases 4 and 5 that I had no clue what to do! Luckily for me, our faithful guild leader started barking out orders and jogged my memory. Just then an egg popped, and we quickly disposed of it. Nice and smooth. All we had to do now was avoid flamestrikes and steadily work our way to phase 5.
Sure enough, we make it to phase 5 without a hitch. Now is the time where it really sinks in that we're actually going to kill this bastard and finally move on. I think probably half of us did not know what to expect in phase 5 and it showed. I laughed so hard I was in tears watching my guildies float around in the air like chickens with their heads cut off not knowing what to do or where to go. Cool headed and always knowledgeable, our level-headed GM calmed us with his commands to simply spread out and don't die, and that's precisely what we did -- well, most of us. My head was going a million miles a minute and I accidentally died at 2%. No matter though, for nothing could take away from this moment. As soon as he died, vent exploded with cheers and happiness. Guild chat was flooded for so long I didn't even see the loot. I didn't even care for the loot, the kill it's self was prize enough.
We immediately went to Shattrath to turn his head in and take our place as the true dominant horde guild on Aerie Peak. Congratulations and praise was spouted off in trade chat when word got out that we had finally slayed the beast. Not long after, we went to Hyjal to bask in the victory and to scope out the trash for our future encounters. I fondly remember sitting there, giddy with excitement, saying to a guildy; "We finally made it!"
To cap off this story, our guild leader promised to sing "I'm a barbie girl" if we killed Kael that night. We were pleased when he kept his word, because at that moment nothing else could've made this night any better than it already was.
So here's to <Exiled> on Aerie Peak -- Through all the BS, all the hard times, all the near-guild-shattering experiences, likewise all the triumphs, the laughs, the camaraderie, -- I can safely say I'm glad to have been a part of this guild for so long and I wouldn't change it for the world.

My favorite WoW moments occur very often actually. Anytime I am able to help someone with a question or item or even saving their life, those are great moments.
If I had to really choose one specific moment it would have to be a Karazhan Prince encounter. For some reason Prince had decided to destroy almost my entire raid, most likely Shadow Novas, it's hard to see your raid clearly when he's beating on you with his two Decapitators! It ended up being three of us left, valiant we were standing there. I did everything in my power to deflect his blows with my Holy Shield while my healer did his best to keep me alive. One lone dps stood at range casting.
The raid called onto Ventrilo "Just wipe it and we'll come back," to which I shouted "No, Prince is not getting a free wipe on my clock" or something to that effect. The three of us battled on whilst the raid moaned and groaned about how we were just going to die eventually but I continued to argue "Why wipe it? Us three can do this, don't underestimate us." The raid eventually began reacting astounded that we were actually killing him and staying alive(It was our gear combined with player experience that made it easy) but of course just as we were about to kill him he dropped an Infernal on my face and I died at the same time Prince did.
Badges and loot for all! Yay. Kind of long but eh. :p

My most favourite moment...
...was helping my friend from a PvP death. I had Noggenfogger Elixir on (both smallness and skeleton) and I hid inside a bush. A level 40 was chasing my 30 friend (I was 50 at the time) The horde warrior chased my druid friend right past me and I jumped out and Vampiric Touched him. I also added Shadow Word: Pain. I rofled as he ran away and died. We lured 5 other guys from Splintertree Post like this =).

My Favorite moment in WoW was when Warlocks where able to Enslave Lord Kazzak in Blasted Lands. I went up to him once, enslaved him and hearth to Stormwind and let him loose in the city killing everyone... and then do the same thing in Ironforge.
