My favourite moment in WoW must be when our guild managed to kill Morouse for the first time. We had been wiping for weeks and all of a sudden everything worked.
The healers lived, the traps and retraps worked and the range DPS burned down the adds and Moroes. The cheers and the feeling of accomplishment was balm on our spanked backsides.
The first time we took Gruul was similar but not as intense. Still for a non-hardcore player Moroes was sweet.

This is gonna sound odd, but it has to do with the 1st Beta Test... when WoW was about to be released to the General Public, they let loose the legion...dragons everything... nothing like seeing huge demons guarding the entrance to Ironforge, the world was being eliminated by the legion, and this was ALL before Burning Crusade, we fought but eventually we died and then the game was open to the world.
My Second favorite wow Moment was when back in the day of Molten Core, we tried for a week solid every night to down Ragnaros... and finally... when he fell everyone on Ventrillo all 40 of us hooped and hollared and cheered, I was hooked ever since.

Ah memories..The fondest one I can remember in my long career of WoW, easily belongs to this one.
I have been playing a alliance pally for as long as the game has been out, and back when i was leveling in STV, a fun series of events occurred, mind you this was all when ret was different then it is today, we are talkin the 31 point talent was actually blessing of kings, I was leveling in kurzens compound with a long time pal of mine on his dwarf priest, we were attempting the quest to kill kurzen himself, and lo and behold, my dearest friend over aggros with his healing and dies...I am now suck fighting 3 kurzen commandos, how I manage to kill them is beyond me, for i was at low health, but I survived and began to resurrect my friend. I rez him, and what does he do? He halls off and runs straight into the next pack of enemies, dying and aggroing more to me! I fight my best, I somehow manage to survive these next victims, through a series of very well timed and lucky crit heals. This continues all the way to kurzen himself and we kill him too! Turns out my friends autorun button was stuck and thats what caused this mess! But it truly proved to me that day, the hardest to kill player in the game, is a well played pally with a devil may care attitude and the devils luck to go with it. Ill never forget that day.

My favorite WoW moment was probably when i first walked through the Dark Portal. When you go across it and see how big it is at the other side, and all the "The Burning Legion is striking on us! Report for duty!" thing feels great.

I cant really pick a specific moment but my first toon, orc hunter, it was a time when I couldn't wait to get home and play wow, grinding to get to the next area, so you could get into the next instance. Not being able to afford your mounts once lvl 40,60 is reached. Not winning the Blue that dropped of your first boss downed, First Battleground (Alterac Valley) , Not to mention walking through the dark portal. I am sure that WotlK will bring back that excitement for all of us.

My favorite moment has to be when I first put my foot inside the Dark Portal, just to see the new graphic was a reward enough.

I've had a lot of great moments in this game, but one in particular stands out.
My guild was having a pretty bad time. After a few months of Karazhan and some particuarly heavy guild drama, we were all feeling pretty bummed out and upset. One sunday, our Raid leader decided to do something about it.
I was in AB, visciously defending the Farm, when I got a /w from him, asking if I wanted to go to ZG. I had been chasing after a ZG run before then, so my answer was "omg yes!". I left the BG, headed down to Stranglethorn and started helping to summon the 18 other people we had managed to round up.
And it was FUN! We ran through it, as only a raid full of level 70s can do, breezing through all the fights, just generally enjoying ourselves without having to worry about Drama and Looting issues. We even had a competition, where our Raid leader would try to get Mind Controlled by the skull piles and whoever scored the killing blow on him would get 10g.
But that single run made the game fun again, brought me, and the rest of my guild, back from the edge of WoW burnout.

Hmm...where to begin
So many many many things stand out from server firsts, horde first and many a guild first boss kill to getting tired of the grind and finding a new home on the same server as alliance to coming back to my troll roots and picking up the mage reigns once more.
But most of all that I've done and taken part in, what stand out are the people you meet. The ones that make you laugh, make you feel good and make you maybe take a more honest look at yourself. Not gonna toss out names to spare their privacy but they know who they are and know how much they mean to me.
