K! i remembered a better one. I remember back in pre BC, i had a level 60 rogue with nothing better to do, so I traveled over to the horde newbie zones with a small pet companion. I stealth and followed some lowbies around and they were wondering why they had a pet following them XD It was good for a laugh.

Back in the day...
When AQ was about to be released our guild was in close competition with another major guild on my server. The other guild was not well liked due to some shady buisness they took part in early in the game, but they were still the top on the server. In our race to get our mallot for the gong we had to deal with horde trying to stop us from completing the quests and with our mt getting temp banned for some poor choices in say chat. In the end however we managed to get our mallot complete and we waited for the day that AQ would be released, thanks to a clever officer we were able to find the exact time the gong would show up outside the gates. Even with this info the task of hitting it first would prove extremely difficult. As one of the highest population realms at the time, the lag and frequent disconnects were beyond belief. There were thousands of characters surrounding the altar and aoe bombing happening constantly. Me and a few friends, both horde and ally found a safe spot under the staircase where we could listen to the explosions just around the corner. When the time finally came, the other guild shouted out that they were once again #1, but shortly after our gm's name was shouted across silithus.

On my rogue, while the cap was still 60, I went with a friend to Scarlet Monastary: Cath. In the course of doing the final boss there, I managed to kill the healer before she could ressurect her companion, breaking the instance. It may seem silly, but breaking the game in that way was awesome.

Dinging my first 70 comes close. Ditto getting exalted with the Kurenai, and one-shotting Prince Malchezaar for the first time. And let's not forget the first time I soloed Hogger on a level 12...or one of the elite drakes in the Badlands on a 44.
But
...I'd have to say that my
all-time
favorite WoW moment was diving for the
Half Pendant of Aquatic Endurance
on my druid. Because just as I was hearthing out, a
reef shark
started swimming my way.
If I'd started using my hearthstone a split second later, the shark would have aggroed (and doubtless killed me). As it was, I got out just in time. :D

I'd have to say my best moment in WoW was when i bought my first Epic flying mount finally breaking through the old epic ground mount speed and soaring in SMV flying over the top of the volcano and scoping out the Black Temple no longer having to rely on taxis

My favorite moment in WoW was a long time ago when Mages were mistaken for people who summoned people (warlock bizness) instead of portals and food/water. I was with two other guys and they wanted me to summon their friend to ZF. I told them I don't know that spell because that wasn't offered to my class. But the morons kept bantering that I was a noob and how bad I was so I finally told them ok you got me I can summon him but they had to click on the portal immediately. I made a UC portal and BAM! They were gone.
Another was hunting gnomes in wolf form on my shaman...good times.

There is no doubt,
my precious moment in WOW was my first raid to Stormwind. It was late at one dark winter night, back when i was lvl 60. I was so excited, feeling the rolling sweat on my back, the uncontrollable shaking of my cold hands and the crazy berserk look at the screen.
In this moment I knew I was challenging the entire game, and the feeling that you are infiltrating the main enemy territory and trying to survive in there, thats just honorable.
That is what makes me feel valuable, not the epics on my character, not the number of killed raid bosses, but the situation that raises your adrenalin and makes you ingame paranoia.
To challenge the skills of other people - that makes me feel alive.

I think one of my favorite moments was playing with my friends last week, we were all sitting on ventrilo chatting it up, when we were doing Zul'jin
Suddenly one of the guys in the raid dies to the hurricanes that roam around, one of my friends playing a lock says over ventrilo a bit annoyed "You had ONE THING TO WATCH OUT FOR, ONE THING!"
Two seconds later he dies to the hurricanes as well., and everyone repeats over ventrilo " YOU HAD ONE THING TO WATCH OUT FOR!" Hilarity ensued :-)

My favourite moment is a raid moment. Nothing from TBC has even come close, although some fights were definitely enticing, my first Ragnaros kill was definitely where it was at. The sheer amount of people, the first REAL cinematic feeling experience as a horde player, the fire everywhere, the terrible green FR rings, and swimming frantically out of the lava. He was massive, he was impressive, he was Ragnaros. Forever the fondest of memories.

My favorite memory from WoW has to be the time I tanked Nightbane without a shield... as a Warrior. I was in sub-T4 gear and our guild had Karazhan on farm for quite some time. That night we had crushed Kara, beating it quickly. We had our first successful Prince kill with less than 9 people (we had killed him plenty of times before, but always with the full 10 people), and we decided to go on to Nightbane. My shield was yellow by now.
We made an attempt at Nightbane, and we failed. Wipe #1. Another try, another fail. Wipe #2. This time we were fighting for all we could and then I went for Shield Slam at 27%... it wouldn't work. I started screaming "it's not working, slow down on dps!" We got him to 25%, he flew up. We stacked, grabbed, and killed the skeletons like we always had. Waiting for him to fly down, I realized... my shield was red! Zero durability left. One of his hits must have knocked it below the limit. It was no longer of any use to me.
As a Protection spec Warrior, I was useless without my shield. Or so I thought... I quickly put on the Millenium Blade from CoT: BM and went duel-wielding style. We struggled through the last 25% of Nightbane, but we finally did it. We had killed him, and all without a shield. I kept aggro, did some damage, and saved the raid. All in a night's work for a tank.
