My favorite moment in WoW..
Me and my friend were level 53-54. I was a mage and he played on his warlock. It was my first character and one of my first visits to Alterac Valley. Back in the old days, when people fought for hours..
Most of the times when we finally could enter the valley, the horde were already fighting to the death at alliance base-bridge.. But one day.. one day we pushed the horde all the way back to icewing bunker.
Me and my friend ran up the bunker ( wich was destroyed so there were no players but us inside ), stood at the top. We didnt have a plan, we just thought we could fire some frostbolts/shadowbolts and stuff... but no, when we came up.. we instanlty knew what we were going to do..
Without even saying something to eachother, we both used our AoE attacks ( Blizzard and Rain of Fire ).
The damage was insane! 227's , 220's were popping up allover the screen! Our damage meters skyrocketed. The goosebumbs were everywhere. Never before, had I pwnd people like this..
And that's my best memory from WoW....
Bring back the real Alterac Valley <3

My favorite moment was easily when I hit 60 for the first time.
I was elated, man. It was my first WoW character, and I had been struggling with him and playing for a good, long time to get him there, so it was just a huge milestone for me.
And then, the dreaded words from a guild mate... "Grats on 60, now buy BC and get to 70!"
I never did get that human warrior to level 70...

I can remember my first wauw moment in wow. It was when the us alpha had started. I had a dwarf hunter. and when i first stepped in to Stormwind and heard the big choir music in the back started to play, i got the chills down my back.
One of the coolest moment though, was when i took down nefarian for the first time. The guild had been trying so hard the last weeks until we finally got him down.

About a year ago I joined a new guild, one that is no longer around. My first day in this guild we were working on trying to kill Void Reaver. I was a feral tank and they all explained to me the mechanics of the fight about the threat knock back and and the orb. Well our first pull after the MT got knocked back I got Aggro and maintained threat the entire duration of his health pool and we downed a new boss. Definitely my most exciting first day on the job as well as greatest WoW moment.

I'm going to to have to go with the "Thrall's return to Outland" event chain. It's quite possibly the single most epic scripted encounter in the game, and quite honestly is so well done, and so ingrained in the lore of WoW that I make it a point to do it on every single character I bring through the zone (2 so far with a 3rd just starting on it).

My favorite moment...
I was level 70 and on a new shadow priest that had blue rep PvP gear. Some friends wanted to try for the ZG tiger mount so I headed to STV. When I got there I saw a 70 hunter in at least some season 2 arena gear attacking the lower levels. I started to attack him and did very well but just couldn't kill him due to mana issues. So for about 10 minutes we fought then he would get away we would both heal and mana up then he would come back and start it all over again. It was such a blast, last time I saw him he ran off and didn't come back for a rematch. Only bad thing with that whole day was the tiger didn't drop.

I've had a lot of epic moments in my 3 1/2 years it took me to level my first only character to level 70. The one that stands out the most is quite recent.
When patch 2.4 was released, I knew I had to get me some SSO rep to finally upgrade my blue shield since I already had fully epic'd out tanking armor so I'm running some Heroic Magister's Terrace with 4 other random people, a PUG so to speak. So we're sucking our way through the instance and manage to get to Priestess Delrissa with the hardest possible combination (double rogue warrior etc etc).
After wiping on that !#@%% about 20-30 times we're bored and just mashing randoms to achieve win. It somehow happens that our entire group dies and the only ones surviving are me at less than half health and the stupid satyr mob at full health.
Somehow, with super powa adrenaline 1337 sauce running through my veins I start full avoidance and mitigation tanking cycle in dps gear knowing that this run MIGHT just yield me my Commendation of Kael'thas. Somehow, magically with my trusty grom'tor's charge throbbing my right hand, I whittled away the stupid elite's health half a percent at a time timing my potions, shield blocks perfectly.
Soon I realize that there's no way I can win this battle without the IWIN button of prot warriors, shield wall. With this trully *oh #$%^* ability active for an eternity of 15 seconds I manage to get the stupid satyr down to 5% with myself at about 300 health; and i remember, LAST STAND, oh what a well named ability! I use this just at the right time and kill that stupid motha trucka.
Damn, I'm shaking just remembering how that went.
Whoa, we can make additions!
So I'll add my original memory: Onyxiazorz and little flaksy the 40 warrior-
When I was just a young little orcling I heard rumors circulating that this dragon was the prize of the greatest- this was about the time only a select few guilds had killed onyxia.
Just getting to level 40, the level at which level 40 mounts used to reside, I heard of a new challenge that had arisen, Molten Core; seeing people in tier 2 gear with level 50 gear models completely made me cake my pants but Onyxia was still my first and only goal.
In fact, my first exposure to this game was seeing an onxyia raid video. I was instantly hooked and knew I had to get the game. So 8 months later I gathered up some money and bought the game and a game card. Come another year or so and I hit level 40.
Ecstatic that I'm level 40 I run around every major city to get my wolf mount. As soon as I picked it up a realization dawned upon me "OMG I can go to dustwallow marsh!11!". So I mount up, totally enjoying the ride in my favorite zone ever, the barrens and go out hunting for this new region that holds the earliest memories of WoW for me. Dodging level 20's I see the landscape turn into a swamp and instantly my eye catches the arrow on the minimap denoting Brackenwall Village. As soon as I saw this name I knew I would remember it always.
So after discovering this new town I asked the local inhabitants where the dragoness onyxia may reside and was promptly pointed towards a land full of dragons- WHOA DRAGONS, my first encounter with dragonkin in wow. I was so exhilirated I could not help but stare in wonder. But I knew a greater prize awaited me. I made my way towards Onyxia's den and, WHOa, the firs tlevel 60 instance portal I'd ever seen. But it just so happened that you had to be level 58 and needed attunement to get in. But this did not deter me in the least; the entire journey is still sharp in my mind and I will never forget.
Sorry this post is so long but the thread is really getting me thinking; I don't even care about the key anymore just living in this nostalgic past...
