I made an ENTIRE guild devoted to engineering. Every single person in the guild had to have Engineering and always had to have goggles showing :)
One day we decided to do our first raid, which was STV arena as a guild. So we met up in Tinker town in Ironforge, and caught the tram to Stormwind then ran from there.
It was pretty lowly but very exciting for us as a guild, about 15 level 20-50 toons kitting themselves up with dynamite and explosive sheep.
Those were the days.

My favorite WoW moment of all time just happened recently, spending 1 month on the boss M'uru all of our hard work finally paid off and we scored a server first kill, it was so exciting and so fun, this new sunwell instance is a blast and I hope Wrath is just as much fun. =)

Silvertale
My favorite moment in WoW was the time I hit level 60 with my first character, a Gnome Mage called Silvertale, back in August 2005. I was in Winterspring when it happened, I recall... The beautiful snowy landscape was the perfect spot for the very best milestone in my WoW career. I remember that I had to make sure every guild member knew that I had reached level 60 back then, because back in old WoW, hitting level 60 was pretty big the first few months.
My love for the game hasn't faltered one moment since the day I bought it, back in February 2005. I know, I used five months to level my first level 60... But it was well worth it. :-)

I have been playing WoW since before BC came out, back when Paladins had Blessing of Kings at the end of the ret. tree. Anyway, I've never had an endgame character because I suffer from the need to constantly roll an alt, and then delete my main.
This summer I decided to start 1 character and lvl that character all the way. After a solid 4 weeks of playing (way more than I'm used to) I brought my dwarf shadow-priest to lvl 58 and my guild took me to the dark portal. Most of them were friends IRL and they knew how long I've been playing without getting anywhere on my character, so about 20 of my guildmates formed two lines on the sides of the pathway to the Dark Portal and had my /walk my way through it while they all cheered me on and what not and after I entered it they ran me through Hellfire Citadel and Ramparts.
It was the best moment I've ever had playing WoW.

My best moment was when I first entered Caverns of Time. I firstly noticed that my night elf had become a bald human. Then, it was like a hammer striking at me. The music was vaguely familiar... no, not vaguely - it was the Warcraft 2 theme! There's never been music in a game to attune my spirit to like it. Then, after I finished the run, I paid a visit to "Old" Southshore... The men I met there... All of them known either for Warcraft 2 or part of WoW itself, in their future selves. Kel Thuzad, Nat Paggle... what a place!
