my favorite moment must be when i where on my rogue organising my guild as the second in command....we didnt raid pve but did alot of pve for the fun of it
well one day we actully got 40 lv 50-70 ((mostly 70)) ppl in a raid so we decided to go and kill some alliance around darkshore it where low level cities of course but its always fun then we ended up on the draeni isle where their capital is we began to invade it and becouse there where so few alliance people in there we actully managed to have control over it for about 30 minutes.....30 ....epic...minutes the sight of 40 horde people inside the draeni capital making sure there is no alliance is simply beytiful to watch.
and even cooler when we almost managed to take down their boss ((wiped at 15%....we where randomly put together group no main tanks no main healers...nothing ;-P))

My favorite moment on WoW was one of two things. Either when I got my first epic, Bladed Shoulderpads of the Merciless, or when I met a very good friend questing in Ashenvale doing that Supplies to Auberdine escort. :p

So many good ones to choose from...
But I think the best one was during my time leveling my hunter in Stranglethorn vale, on Emeriss PvP.
I was around lvl 38, killing gorillas for leather in the middle area of Stranglethorn. I had pulled several gorillas at once, and was at about half my health, when I hear the familiar sound of an undead rogue cheapshotting me.
I remember thinking: "crap, I'm screwed" when I hear the cheap shot sound
again
; a human rogue just cheap shotted the undead rogue!
The human kills the undead, but we're both at low hp, around 10%, when A THIRD ROGUE appears, this one several levels above the both of us, sapping the human and cheapshotting me. And then...
And then, he /tickles us both, without harming a hair on our heads, and vanishes.
Imagine my surprise!

Mine was the first time I ventured into Searing Gorge, seeing those flame elementals scared me, and I had heard tales about Blackrock Mountain so I decided to take a further look. The size of the inside of it just wow'd me, the dragons flying around and the emense amount of lava. I think I got a little bit lost as I ended up leaving into the Burning Steppes, and this is where my heart began to beat louder than it ever has in a video game before. Dragons right infront of me, evil orcs, lava everywhere and the music tops these zones off. I had flown over it countless times while leveling but never imagined I'd ever get there myself

My favorite moment.. It is a bit long and complex, but you'll understand the joy of the moment I am pretty sure =)
Well, we all know how it is annoying to lose in Arathi Basin. You waste 20-30 minutes in a run and at the end, you may lose. You can't decide what to annoy: your wasted time or your lost AB with all of your effort...
There, I joined an AB and we started to capture the bases. Both teams were good and knew what to do. We got 2, Alliance got 3 bases after 5 minutes. Our team was not good enough to capture the third base to gain advantage, so we were attacking and wiping for 10 minutes or so. Some bad geared players left the battle after 15 minutes, some -luckily- good replacements had come.
New reinforcements did their job well: we captured a third base! But it was not good enough to win, because Alliance was too close to 2000 point, so we need a fourth base, which seemed impossible to me at that time.
I rallied some people with me, and we assulted stables which was not heavily defended because alliance team was so sure about their winning. And the score was 1920 Alliance - 1790 Horde. With that score, game would finish 2000-1990. We need to capture the FIFTH base in order to win! Or it will be all lost! And, there it is, my moment of glory, me and two guys more went to Gold Mine, to prevent the points which are going to the alliance team. And this time, alliance assaulted the stables, waiting for the countdown from 1 minute. If they got stables again, we will lose within 2 seconds. Because they now got 1970 point.
Anyway, We killed 3 alliance players, and a mage started to assault GM, and I saw an hunter coming to us, I ran to him, and feared before he shot mage! It was a very excited moment for me, but the pain continued for a while. He used medallion to remove fear, which he did and..
He was too slow. mage had assaulted the GM, before hitted by a hunter 0.1 secs ago! And their team's score was 1990! It was a miracle that they stopped in 1990, I cannot forget that moment :)
We lost some bases during the "prevent the alliance points" operation, but two bases was enough for us to win by 1990-2000. At the end, there was a HUGE excitement in my battleground friends. :)
So, we all learned miracles happens, even in World of Warcraft ;)

For me, it's probably way back in Ferelas, when I discovered the quest at the top of the Twin Collossals, the one where you get teleported up the top and the only way down is to jump, but it's ok because you get a "parachute".
We held a guild meeting up there, with a picnic and messing about to see who could jump off and land closest to specific spots way down on the ground.
Another one? Seeing Molten Core for the first time. Doesn't seem much compared to the huge amount of content now available, but that first, "I don't care how many of us there are, how the hell are we supposed to fight that?" feeling. :)

My most fovorite moment was standing with all my friends waiting for The dark portal to open. Even though it was pretty laggy I remeber the excitement of being part of something this big.

Favorite moment had to be sneaking into Hyjal back in March '05. Having to die at the gate and run past the door as a ghost, then ressing inside and just riding around the entire zone. A few friends saw me there and came to join me. We swam to the bottom of the well, imagined what the zone would look like when opened, then jumped off the diving board and over Feralas and Darkshore with the 2 minute slowfall effect from Nogginfogger elixir. Such a euphoric feeling.... and I still have the screenshots.
Oddly enough, I've never been in Hyjal since they opened the instance.... maybe I don't want to ruin the memories.
