My greatest memory of wow has to be a few months after launch when I got my friend into it.
The first day he went to log in I was patiently awaiting him on my "uber" level 30 Night Elf Druid over at Northshire Abbey.
When 15 minutes went by once he claimed to have "logged on" I wondered if the game was working for him.
A few minutes later I received a whisper from some random level 1 saying....
"Hey, you coming?"
No, I am in Northshire waiting for you
Oh No...you need to meet me in Durotar
Oh sure I'll....wait what? That's Horde side....
Exactly!
We've been playing Horde ever since haha.

Two of my best friends that I've ever met were found in-game. The memories of our beginning adventures always makes me smile, and wish for a time before the three of us were epixed out in.. epix. We started out in the same guild - The name of which eludes me. The two of them were living with each other, but besides that, we didn't know each other. One day, Ro (the shaman) asked if anyone wanted to do any quests in Hillsbrad. We were both level 35ish at the time, me being a hunter. This was back before most of the mobs were de-elited, and the ogres in Alterac were still elite. She told me that she had a friend of hers (her boyfriend, the warrior) helping out with killing them, so I decided to tag along. For hours we stayed there, killing the ogres, laughing, and just having fun. Finally, we ran out of quests to do, and sat around a small camp fire in the middle of Refuge Point, talking and becoming even better of friends.
Though we're now in separate guilds, we still talk all the time, and give each other tips about the classes each of us play. Were it not for them, I would never have kept playing as long as I have. Almost two years later, and it's still my fondest memory.

Ah, how bittersweet WoW has been to me over... well... over the around a year that I have played it. My favorite moment was the second I stepped into Mount Hyjal Past. It really is a beautifully crafted instance. It brought all the nostalgia of previous WoW games rushing about my little head. The music swelled and I began healing one CoH after another. After finally finishing the complete dungeon it was awesome. Not even downing Illidan or Kil'Jaeden brought as much satisfaction as that moment.

For me the the best event in my wow lifetime was the first time i joined a raiding guild and ran ZG, i could never forget how fun it was on teamspeak, we were laughing our heads off, 1 shotting bosses, i don't think i died once at all in it, and it got me hooked on raiding still up to this day, the thing i realized about this event is that, sure wow is a godlike game, but if you are playing with some good people that are fun and have a good sense of humor it makes the game a lot better. Since that day i've joined and quit guilds, killed raid bosses and been killed by them but the one thing that i realized every time i join a raid is that, if the people are good, i don't care if we whipe, as long as we have fun doing it, it is a game after all and games are supposed to be fun!
anyways that's my story
thanks for reading
edit for forgetting something somewhat little
while not in wow per say
the first time i saw the BC trailer, i donno about you guys but i got such harsh chills down my spine i was speechless, for i saw the most awesome video i had ever seen, and hearing one of my warcraft heroes illidan speak still to this day gives me chills even thinking about it

It was just yesterday; trying out the Paladin class on the PTR for the first time.
It was awesome, I love the new mechanics. Sure there's some tuning left to do on the numbers, but it was the new spells and talents I loved. Ret feels like a true hybrid being able to throw a FoL here and there, and even have the mana for it. Seeing that I was sure Blizzard won't screw up. Not this time.
...they just can't.

My favorite wow moment was when I hit 60. It seemed like it took me forever and it was a huge feeling of accomplishment. I had a big level 60 party for my guild and promptly had a 2 week time out due to hurricane Rita.

My favorite moments were on my very first rogue, an undead. I had already played alliance up to level 20, but I decided I wanted to check horde out. As soon as I got to like, level 12, I decided to go all the way to Elwynn forest, and gank whoever was flagged. I would punt gnomes in the tower of azora for hours on end, just waiting for some level 8 to respond to the local defense banter. When the 60s would come, I just ran away, until so many were after me that I had a rez timer. The greatest part of the whole experience was being used to Elwynn as a peaceful lowbie questing zone, and then having it become this hostile environment where vicious level 30s with green weapons and beastlaying lurked around every dark corner. My guild was always saying I was wasting my time, and that I could've been 40 or so by now, but I ignored them and moved on to westfall and later even darkshire. Really the most fun I've ever had playing this game, especially when I organized massive lowbie raids and we took control of westbrook garrison and places like that.

My favorite moment...
Was back before the Burning Crusade and it was not so much one moment but every moment spent in my guild, <Extreme>. We were one of the top guilds on the server, but at the same time we were laid back. The raid leader was called Nerd and like many raid leaders he yelled alot during the raids. We had people from other guilds listening in just for laughs.
Aside from yelling all the time Nerd was a collector of chinese gold farmers. We had several in the guild at one point, we even brought them to molten core some times. One hunter got the bow from Magmadar and a couple of tier 1 peices lol. We had the best geared gold farmers on the server.
We were hated by the majority of the server, mainly because the day our server received a hardware upgrade, and had been down for a few days, we thought it would be a good idea to train Azurgoes to Orgrimmar. Needless to say it was epic and the server actually held up pretty well, but it crashed about 10 minutes after we did that so everyone blamed us lol.
Whenever our guild would have a tough time on a raid boss we would use music for motivation. Our epic song of choice was The Final Countdown lol. It would always just come out of no where and we couldnt help but laugh.
The best raid moment would have to be in Blackwing Lair when we had a new warrior tanking Ebonroc. For those of you who do not know Ebonroc puts a debuff on his target that heals him when the tank gets hit. Another tank is suppose to taunt off, this was the new guys job. Let me say he did know what he was doing and I believe he did it before what happens was just really bad luck. On this particular night he was plagued with taunt resists and at the same time I was having a bad night because I was a Mortal strike warrior and I was missing MS. This lead to the epic 30 minute Ebonroc kill that I will never forget. Ebonroc would be so close to going down then resists and misses start and he would go back to near full lol. Eventually someone started playing the Benny Hill Theme, at this point I fell out of my chair from laughing to hard. Which of course led to a lack of mortal strike so it just went on and on. Of course Nerd is freaking out the whole time which just made everyone laugh even more.
Eventually though <Extreme> broke when server transfers became available. We had trouble starting Naxx so the majority left the server. I eventually quit the game and came back for Burning Crusade. I found that many of the people I played with in Extreme were still there and we formed a new guild, but we would occasionaly still yell out EXTREME! at random times in trade chat etc. Only a few people on our server remember Extreme, but those that do will reply with...EXTREME!
Sorry for the long post, but it was necessary in order to convey the epicness of Extreme.
