My most vivid memory was in Molten Core of all places. We were struggling to learn the dynamics of the fight, and the mage class leader was telling the rest of us mages, quite animated, that it was imperative that we focus and make sure our sheeps are taken care of. Almost as an exclamation point to this tirade, he steps forward triumphantly to be in position to quickly polymorph his target. In a surprising twist of fate, he vanishes... blinking forward through the circle and into Majordomo (and his angry friends) aggro radius, initiating the fight while the rest of the classes were busy getting situated on Vent, and effectively wiping the raid. I was wiping tears for hours.

My favorite/most frustrating/decided to stop playing moment....
I was playing on a friends account. sharing time got my night elf to level 16 and was ready to take a trip to Ironforge for a quest. I was psyched to go as I've never been, but how should I get there? Ahhh the good ol' "tough it out by running there" method seemed like a good idea.
Starting off in the Wetlands and relying on a map that I don't know how to read (or have areas discovered) I end up blowing through Loch Modan and ending up in The Badlands. Not phased by the constant views of level ? wolves I decide to keep going convinced I could get there by crossing past the burning steppes.
Needless to say a few level ? Horde handed me my ass just for fun and never even made it to the burning steppes.
After telling the owner of the account of my more frustrating tracks he looks at me with a dumbfound face and says, "THERE'S A TRAIN THAT TAKES YOU THERE YOU IDIOT!"
Realizing that there are actual tools in the game that help you I bought my own account months later and now rock out as a 46 Blood Elf Rogue. The Badlands aren't that BAD ;)

I think that one of my fondest memories, is when I was a lower level like level 35 or so, a friend and I were out in strangle thorn vale and we had heard about the arena out there but neither of us had ever been there. So both of us thought that we should give it a try this was about 2:30 in the morning and we were waiting there and talking. When one of the people from the guild asked what we were up to, he was a level 70 Hunter. We told him what we were doing and so he thought he would come help us out. So there the three of us are talking, we know each other in real life, and it was the first time in a long time that we were able to just talk and enjoy ourselves. about 30 min goes by when another guild member ask what we are all doing, we told him what was going on, he ended up telling us that we were late getting there and that it wouldn't occur for a bit longer. We never went back but it was nice being able to just kinda hang out.
Also since every one is posting there first time in WoW, I felt i should also put mine. The first time was about a year ago I had never played an MMORPG before so it was kinda new for me. I started off as a Undead Rogue named Shadic, I was just amazed by all the stuff there was to see and every thing it was a whole new world for me. I got so excited when i was able to go wonder out and see new things. It seemed like every thing was just the coolest thing i had ever seen, I enjoyed every moment of it, as I started to level and was able to go to new places I found it even more fun, since I could be in a dark place one minute and be some where its raining the next. I really love that feeling, I think for me I have always found it fun to find a new Flight Path.

Luckily for me, my favorite WoW moment is ongoing. :)
I absolutely love watching the faces of people I introduce the game to...or hearing about it via email / chat. I've been a videogamer and RPG player for over 25 years, but I never tire of the excitement and sheer giddiness you get to see in a new player. Just as my best friend did when he knocked on my door and said "Dude...come with me! You have GOT to check this out!", I thoroughly enjoy telling people a little about the game, seeing that light of curiosity go on in their head, then the look of awe and fascination as they step into Azeroth for the very first time. The scenery, the music, the weather, the creatures great and small...it all just washes over them in a rush and they don't know which way to look first.
A bit of coaching, a few hours protected by a higher-level character of mine to learn the ropes, and I'm proud to watch yet another adventurer forge off into the unknown wilds to see what's there. (More often than not to fight very bravely and die very quickly. ;-P )

My most memorable time was when I finally got Grand Marshal after pvping for months.
The final 3 weeks of pvping, 7 days a week for 15-20 hours a day was very hard on my real life but I wanted it so bad that I couldn't give up when I was so close.
The day I knew I would finally get it. I stayed up so I could buy all the weapons before the server went down. I was sooo exited that I bought 4 of each weapon and 1 of each ranged so I could put different enchants on most of them. I bought extras in case Blizzard changed something after my honor decayed and I could no longer buy any of them.
The night I saw that Grand Marshal Dragn over my head, it was like someone removed a Mac truck from off my shoulders and it was an amazing feeling of accomplishment, excitement and relief all rolled into one.
P.S. I still have my full Marshals set and some of the weapons in my bank today. I can't bring myself to completely delete some of the things I worked so hard for.

My favorite WoW moment was shortly after path 2.4 when the SSO dailies were put in my guild leader was showing me her route around the isle and the outland dailies. While we were doing the Smuggled Mana Cells daily in Blade's Edge Mountains she told me that the spell thieves dropped the pattern for the Major Spellpower to One-Hand. We spotted one right before we planned on phase shifting and she said "Let's grab this one." We were both sitting there thinking there is no way it would drop but sure enough, we were wrong. It has just stood out in my mind as one of the luckiest drops ever.
