My most awesome moment was when I first set foot through the Dark Portal. Bam, instant legion of demons in front of me. Awe-inspiring, and very well done.

My favorite moment had to have been in the Darkshire inn. I was about level 30 and I saw some people role playing which I had never say before that moment. I was a rogue so I stealthed and watched them for a bit and I started to talk to one of the guys in the RP and eventually I got up enough confidence to jump into the whole RP thing and ever since then I've been RPing more then anything else.

Memorable moments are a dime a dozen in this game. For instance, staff killing some nub horde on your mage or watching another 2s team afk out because they get bored of fighting you.
But the times that truly stand out are few and far between. Looking back in the three years I've been playing this game, most of my great moments revolve around hilarity in raiding and seeing things for the first time. Seeing Hyjal for the first time gave me goosebumps. FIghting Ragnaros still is something I consider to be absolutly amazing. He just towers over you and when he comes up for the first time you practically feel your stomach drop.

my favorite was my first warlock, me and my friend who was a shaman at the time, got a run through SFK by a level 60 priest. we did OK until we hit the darksouls(shadow immune) we kept telling her that they were shadow immune but she never listened and kept trying to kill them with shadow spells, ended up using over 3k mana per fight. me and my friend decided to mess around with her and told her to aggro like 5 of them, and so she did. when we seen her do that, we started running to the instance entrance when she hit around 50% life. she asked us "Can you help me please?" followed by "Wait, why are you running? come back!" we kept running, and she died. lol... then we disbanded and got an actual group.

My favorite moment was the first time I made the seal form run as a druid. I'd hardly ever played an mmo before, and ended up getting some directional help from another druid making his seal run and a 60 hunter. The 60 was the cap back then, so the hunter just slapped on Aspect of the Pack and his pet prowled around as me and the other druid made the long, long run from Auberdine to Stormwind. The hunter left us around Ironforge, and pointed us in the way of the tram. As we exited the tram, the city was dank and filthy and oh-so-very dwarven. We circled around, completely lost, until we saw the distinctive form of a nesting griffon.
As we tagged the griffon, the evironmental music had been slowly swelling around us. "How cool," I thought. Instead of running all the way around and down the statue ramp to Elwynn, we simply jumped out the window by the griffon to land in the lake below. As we jump, the Stormwind music swelled to the gorgeous cascading cresendo, and I swung back to look at a city of stone that's won my heart like no other, just because of that glorious music.
To this day, I recount that story to every new, or low-leveled, druid that has to make the seal run instead of getting ported. How wonderful it is that a soundtrack can change how you see things. Stormwind could have been a simple human city, full of sellers and hawkers, inns and bars. Because of the music, Stormwind has become...home.

My best moment would have to be...
Taking my ~T4 PVE Elemental shaman out to Zoram Strand to train my fishing up. I'd avoided the profession for a while, since I find it sorta tedious past a few hundred points.
I was determined to get myself some
Goldenscale Vendorfish
, though, and so I was in Ashenvale, fishing, bored to death. About an hour into this, while heading back to Zoram Post, I noticed a bunch of well-geared hordies flying in.
Then some more.
...then a lot more.
Before I had a chance to ask twice what was going on, I found myself in a raidgroup of thirty members, celebrating the 6-month anniversary of their guild founding.
I quickly mounted up and assimilated into the mass of T4-T5 horde bodies, which began a charge across Darkshore as I booted up Vent. We tore through the town without slowing, and hopped on a well-timed boat to Azuremyst Isle. We proceeded, in jaw-dropping time, down the winding ramp, through the Alliance PVP NPCs, and massacred
Prophet Velen
in just over a minute.
Then we were gone. Up and out and onto the next boat, on our way to Teldrassil, where we killed not only
Tyrand Whisperwind
, but
Arch Druid Fandral Staghelm
as well.
From there, we marched to Ironforge, brazenly charging through the front door, and crushed
King Magni Bronzebeard
in a videocard-shattering display, which left me temporarily crashed. Unsatisfied by the resistance, and having already slain
Highlord Bolvar Fordragon
and
Archbishop Benedictus
, the guild moved on to yet another series of targets, ones sure to draw the allies attention.
Auctioneer Buckler
,
Auctioneer Lympkin
, and
Auctioneer Redmuse
.
The resulting display of firepower permanently damaged my now-ex video card, but holy crap, what an experience.
Thanks again to Cemetery Gates @ Skywall. You guys really know how to throw a party.
