My Favorite Moment has to be...
While I was grinding in the Badlands for Mithril, I was making my way through Lethlor Ravine killing
Scalding Whelps
as I went. Then randomly, I looted a
Dark Whelping
.
He hasn't left my side, since.

One of the most enjoyable moments I ever had was right before TBC came out. I was a leader of a guild on Undermine that was struggling to try and beat out a horde guild to opening the AQ gates. We had only cleared BWL once completely and had just started raiding it a mere three weeks earlier. One week making it about half way. The next week doing a full clear. As the leader of the guild and one of the core raid leaders it was so exciting trying to beat the timer. Not only had I never done BWL before those two times half the raid had little experience also.
Going in and nailing each boss fight. Most people getting maybe their first piece of gear from bwl. It was tooth and nail getting past all the bosses.
We managed to accomplish this in an epic battle with Nefarian just beating the timer in time. Had we not done that we would have never progressed to opening the AQ gates. We had a great guild and great people. I remember a lot of them by name even though I play casual now and on a different server. It truly was the best experience I have had and so EPIC!
The guild made me proud.

the best moment in wow i have ever had was when my guild first downed illidan, he dropped the main hand Warglaive of Azzinoth for my warrior and I won it with a roll of 94, the runner up was another warrior with a roll of 92, then when my hunter's guild downed him the 3rd time, the Black Bow of the Betrayer dropped which i also won with a 97, i forget the runner up's roll but i believe it was in the 80's, i believe this was probably the best moment in WoW i have ever expierienced :)

My favourite moment was right after the Burning Crusade came out. My boyfriend and I were in our first apartment and money was tight. It was my birthday and my paycheck was late.
My boyfriend, who's character had some gold, bought my Blood Elf all the moth pets and dragonhawk pets for my birthday. The blue moth is still one of my favourite pets.

I suppose I have three memories that stand out of my wow history in my mind.
Chronologically, the very first time I was shown WoW by my boyfriend he showed me Dun Morogh and the beauty of the snow was amasing to me; the crunch sound as my character walked in it and the footsteps fading behind were mesmerising. Even though I no longer play alliance I have a love for Dun Morogh and all my characters visit at some point to leave rapidly fading footsteps.
A few months later and we had our first mains, and had tumbled into a small guild of very nice people. After alot of very slow levelling we hit 40 and to celebrate getting mounts our guild friends bundled us down to Tanaris and took us through Zul Farak to get us 'carrot on stick's. Seems a small thing now but being very dewey-eyed at the time it was a wonderful treat.
Fast forward two years and we'd swapped to horde and levelled different mains. My troll priest gradually became a pet collector (thanks to a wonderful Hyacinth Maccaw surprise present my love had given me on my alliance priest). Being a troll she has a love on frogs so when
Mojo
was added I was excited. After a month or two we finally got a chance to raid Zul'Aman and as not many people wanted them we quickly got a few Hex sticks. At the end we headed to the pool side full of hope. I tried every wand and got various vendors and bags but no Mojo. We were about to give up when my partner noticed one last Hex stick in his bags. He handed it over and blew me a kiss. Knowing it was my last wand I took a deep breath and used it. There was a quick effect but not much changed, the frog in front of me was still jumping around and I paniced in case there was something else I had to pick up that would fade, I looked around and followed the frog for a second before thinking to check my bags: And there Mojo was, sitting pretty in my bag, ready to be brought out to follow me around. Every time I get him out now, I think of him as a present from my partner as it was his Amani hex stick that got him for me.

By far my favorite moment in WoW was the first time I walked through the Dark Portal into Outland. My wife and I'd been playing for upwards of three months at that point, getting characters to level 20 seemed like a big deal for us. The epic feeling of walking through that portal, and the huge vista, and even bigger portal, on the other side never gets old.
All my new toons still go through it at 58, even if they've had their hearth set to Shattrath since they were level one.

My all time favorite moment has to be my first kara run. We had progressed well so far no wipes and few deaths I was having a great time but as we reached shade we finally had hit a snag. Our first attempt was a fiasco first blizzard killed one of our healers, we lost the other hunter to a d/c and the elementals killed the other healer so we wiped (I survived lol feign death by the door). So we rez up and get ready 4 round two it starts out good no healers getting killed and dps is flying at shade. But at 10% shade drops a flame wreath, someone moves, and half the raid dies. Well the only me, the other hunter, the tank, and a rouge survived and were racing to burn him down. I mean were pulling out all the stops using all our trinkets, soul stones, potions, and cool downs. Soon though despite all our efforts one by one we start to fall. First to go is the rouge then the tank then a fire ball drops the 2nd hunter I alone stand before shade at 2%.To the yells and cheers of my fellow guild mates I pop Bestial Wrath and Rapid Fire 1%. My pet falls and I take a strong fireball dropping my health to 40% I throw an Aimed Shot at him that hits for 2700 he still stands I Prepare 4 a the inevitable long walk to shades room as I hit steady shot one last time it strikes him and he falls. The cheering was so loud that my ears were ringing from the funny feed back u get when too many people try to talk on vent at once. That was nearly a year ago the only one guild member that was in that group is still in the guild and i have become a leading member but I have not yet since had such an amazing experience in wow.

My personal favorite moment in WoW was helping
Tirion Fordring
and his heart touching quests. ( More can be read here
Tirion Fordring on WoW wiki
)
After going through quest after quest I was pumped when I got the disguise to turn into a Scarlet Crusader. When I finally got to Taelan Fordring and showed him the box of belongings I fought by his side.
In Dreams
being the only quest so far in the world of Azeroth that I shed tears apon completing. As I felt I was Tirion losing his son by being murdered by Issilen. I stopped playing for a bit as I could not stop shedding tears.
This questline also had an impact on my playing style as well. Prior to this quest I absolutely hated RP because I though it was stupid. This quest turned me to it for reasons unknown.
This is by far the only part of WoW I will remember until the day I die.
