Oh wow, how many great times I've had!
I've been horde since my birthday, 2005. My brother bought the game for me. Since that day I was addicted. My first character, Anethor an Orc Rogue, was my favorite. I've transferred him to three different servers to stay with an old friend of mine, and I finally settled down on Bloodscalp.
My favorite memory has to be my first raid of Molten Core. I was on Kalecgos, with Hand of Fate. I had just hit 60 a couple days before and I was nervous to raid. My guild pulled me in for a fresh week of MC, and off we went. It had to have been the best time I've ever had in WoW. Listening to the "MC Raiders" song as we went along. Downing bosses, making fun of eachother. "We ain't got no li-i-i-ivesss!"
All I have to say is, "TOO SOON... YOU HAVE AWAKENED ME TOO SOON, EXECUTUS!"
Another great moment I just remembered was much more recent. My guild had be plucking away at Black Temple, and we finally got to Illidan. Walking up those stairs, turning and seeing the world of Azeroth floating above our heads. It was pretty invigorating.

Way back when in Vanilla Wow I'd just gotten my Warrior into a guild that was in the middle of working its way through Blackwing Lair. Now at this point their Warriors were already decked out in a mix of tier 1 and 2, I was feeling pretty outclassed. I had scraped together the best in slot tanking blues from the instances and quests of the world, I'm talking oldies but goldies like the chest piece from the Tirion Fording chain and even something off the Dire Maul Arena. But being in full blues isn't very reassuring in what was at the time the toughest raid in the game.
So the raid gets to Ebonroc and the Warriors assigned to him just could not get the taunt rotation down. We wipe a few times and the main tank gets frustrated. He assigns me and another Warrior who had also recently gotten in the guild to give it a try assisting him. Long story short we kill him in the very next attempt. No one was more surprised than me and I got the boost of confidence I needed to feel like I could contribute in a guild that was already so far along.
I eventually go on to become the second main tank of the guild and smash through most of AQ40 and Naxx before BC hits. I've since moved on from my Warrior, but I still think of the time I helped down Ebonroc on my first night into Blackwing Lair as my proudest moment.

I think that one of my favorite memories of WoW is when I first started playing (at release). It was one of those moments that you think back on you think, how stupid could i have possibly been?
I started as horde and was leveling in Silverpine Forest. I was skipping along doing my thing and out of nowhere the Son of Arugal (who was just wandering around) came and slaughtered me.
I ran back to my body, res'd and shook it off, and started questing again. A little bit later same thing happened. I also believe they were elites back then, either that or they were just really higher level (like 20 in an area with 15's mobs).
I thought this one mob was following me around just killing me. I never realized there were more than 1 and they were all over the place.
Looking back I feel really stupid, but I still laugh at it.
