The greatest moment in WoW for me was:
My very first character. It was a Blood Elf Rogue, And is my main to this day! I joined this great guild where most of the members lived near me. I had no idea prior to joining where any of them lived. I just joined because they seems like very mature and cool people. The reason this was the greatest moment in WoW is because, to this day, we are really good friends. Not just in WoW, but in RL also.
We experienced so much together and plan on continuing the experience in WotLK. I'm so glad to have found such good friends on WoW, Which I never thought was possible. I am thankful that this game has made an impact on my life other being a game to play when bored.

wow, I had to think about this for a moment.
for me it would have to be the night BC came out. I normally play Forsaken, and thought i would give a Blood Elf a try. I was so amazed with the music, the graphics, everything in the area was awesome. The next morning (a mere 4 hours latter) i jumped back on to play more and was greeted with the brightest character selection screen i had ever seen. Needless to say, I was in shock for a moment as my dark cave of a computer room was bathed in this light from my screen. I nearly fell out of my chair with surprise as i was temporarily blinded, and unable to figure out why.
I picked my self up, remembered what was going on, and started to play.

Well to be honest, my greatest moment in WoW was, when I got my T6 - Robe token for my Shadowpriest. What makes this moment so special you may ask?
Our guild was in a very bad shape and the situation was bad, everyone knew, so we told each another "one last raid together" - after that, we did actually lock down, moved out and most of us transfered to different servers. In that last raid, we killed Illidan, got the OH Legendary, 3x Warlock/Priest/Paladin, and a few other epics - well the first 2 Priest Tokens weren't handeled to me.. and just before I gave up I pulled the most DKP (5k .. each day you get like 50... lol) and got it. I was indeed happy and sad at the same time.
Still this was the most memorable WoW-Day of my life :)
Thanks to unique for making that possible at that time!

My favorite moment...thats a tough one...soo many.
I would have to say my favorite moment is when I was on a low level night elf rogue on the dock in auberdine and was talking to a hunter. I told him I liked his pet (a pink raptor) and that my dwarf had one. He said, " Its not pink....its red." even though it was very pink. I told him he should take a colorblind test.
The runner-up for favorite memory would have to be hittin 58 on my hunter. I was really excited about getting to hellfire penninsula, and It was amazing.

My favorite wow moment..
Actually just yesterday. There were a few that came close to this, but this one was just epic.
Joined a 40 man raid on stormwind. We were under the chapel, in the basement, and 40 of us were down there buffing and trying to be quiet. We launched out, and took out a leader , then took the tram to ironforge. By this time, a second 40 man group was starting up. We went into the main square, where all the banks an AHs and such are, after killing the gnome king. I wasn't sure how big the second group was, but i'd guess there were 65 of us there. It was whack. Even my powerful machine lagged at all the AOE, guards, and people there. Again, we didn't get the king of IF, because the allies would group up and whack us while we did it. However, we camped around a hundred poor allies, the lowest i killed at 37, and it was pretty intense. Rather than choosing to die at the end of this, we got a port to shat, so not to give them the honor of defending their city.

Our guild has an officer who's basic responsibility is to be "angry officer" and to explain all the fights. On one of our first ventures into Black Temple (this being before the removal of the attuments) we happen to be standing in front of the relerquary of souls trash, where he proceeds to explain phase 1 and phase 2. Being that this is our first attempt it's somewhat understandable that we wouldn't make it to phase 3.
So we pull and by some luck we make it, get to phase 3 and are like "holy crap what do we do now" so we DPS'd our hearts out, not knowing anything that he did, get down to wipe stages at 1% when I ankh and EM a flame shock and watch as the dot kills him before his agony aura takes me at the same time.
Angry officers response "Well, now that we've beaten it, here's how the fight works"
(that and countless other 1% ankhs to pull off a first kill. This is just the most comical and thus memorable)

My favorite moment in my WoW Career... ah ha! Here it is...
So, it was my first
real
character, 57 UD Rogue at the time, wanting to get to Outlands
so
bad. I'm questing along, killing mobs in Winterspring (those big owl things). Ding! I hit 58, so I could finally go to Outlands! I was ecstatic... when I looted the owl, guess what dropped! My first epic ever! The BoE Skullflame Shield. I about exploded xD
And that's it! : )
