My most memmorable moment in WoW was pre-BC back in ZG. The instance was still new and hardly anyone knew about the mind controlling Voodoo Piles. The laughter from player caused raid wipes reminds me to always have fun in the game, even when trying to learn new or difficult content.

my favorite moment...
back in vanilla wow, i was part of an alliance guild on a small, pvp server that was going head-to-head for a while with another guild competing for server firsts. we were going back and forth on a lot of kills (world dragons, kazzak, etc., mc, bwl) and had even started co-opting with horde to try to position ourselves better.
it was a race to see who could down nef first (the aq gates were not opened yet on our server) and after nights and nights of wipes, we finally downed nef. and beat out the other guild. it must've been past 1 am, but listening to all the cheering on vent and much spam in general and trade chats afterwards was amazing.
the guild has moved on, and many players have stopped playing, shifted to other servers, or even gone horde but for me, that may have been the peak of my wow career, and i've never really found anything that has come close to that moment.

I would have to say my favorite memory in all of my time playing WoW was the first time my guild killed Lady Vashj. It was the last attempt for the night, as well as for that week, and we were all tired. We voted on one last shot before calling it a night, as it turned out that last attempt went smoother than ever before.
Barely anyone in the raid died. Everyone was quiet when vash went down and a moment later we were all shouting, wooping, and yelling at what we just realized: We killed Vashj! It was that point where we
knew
we were going places and all our hard work payed off.
Other points in my WoW career have been nice but this one just takes the cake for me. A close second would be killing a warrior three levels higher than me on my ret paladin...while I had rez sickness.

I'd have to say, my best moment in-game was the first time I stepped into Stratholme. I'd started playing a lot later than my friends, and when BC came out they held back on their mains so that I could catch up. Well, Strat was the first instance my friends and I did with all of our mains, and I'd finally caught up. I felt like that day I was a REAL player, and not just the tag-along, holding them back. To this day, it remains one of my favorite instances.

My favorite moment in WoW would have to be when I hit 70 for the first time on my first character which was a dwarf hunter after many months. I already had my PvP gear at hand after PvPing so much between many levels, and when I hit 70, I was so excited to put on the gear that made my character look a lot cooler. I also had enough gold to buy my regular flying mount (I don't have enough for my epic flyer, I'm still thousands of gold away >.<, but I have yet to spend time doing dailies to make some money.) Now, I'm waiting for a friend of mine to hit 70 so we can do arenas for better looking arena gear!

favorite moment in WoW was the last day of release beta.
I had been playing for a while but the biggest thing anyone had ever seen was onyxia.
the GM's spawned ragnaros outside org, magmadar inside org, some giant chicken named el pollo diablo, and basically wrecked every player who was foolish enough to go to any town.
needless to say, it was mad funneh
