Here's my story... When I first heard of WoW, I had never played an MMO before. My feeling about this type of game was "what the heck, you just keep killing things all the time and it keeps coming over and over again? That's dumb!".
So I met some friends that started playing it and they kept me telling how cool it was, until the point that I was like "ok, I'll try it". There were all these races and classes to choose from, humans, undeads, rogues, paladins... A paladin, I thought, a knight with a huge sense of justice, a guy that stands for others in dire times, a guy just like me!
So, on november 28, 2006,
Bharbosar
, named after my last name - Barbosa - was born on the Onyxia server, a US PvP server with perils everywhere and even some new grammar to learn: "ganked", "pwned", "kek", /laugh... It was a blast.
My great true moment happened one day playing on Stranglethorn "Happy Ganking" Vale: I was boldly killing some raptors near Grom'gol when suddenly two "skull" players - a rogue and a warlock - attacked and killed me in microseconds. As I stood there watching them /dance and /laugh at me, they started dueling right on top my corpse. I immediately released and ran back to my maggot factory just in time to watch the rogue losing the duel. The moment he kneeled, I respawned and attacked him, killing him with two strikes, bubbled up and spam /lol at him while the warlock kept saying "kek" and other things, I think mainly directed at the rogue himself. Surprisingly enough, the warlock let me go and I never saw them again.
There were other nice moments in my WoW history when Bhar was 50+ helping little hordies to get some quests done, communicating with each other using emotes like /point and /charge and /cheer, but my very first honor award is the one that I hold as my initiation of being addicted to WOW ;)

Randomness
That should be when I first spammed the trade channel. I felt so good, but then I was ignored & reported from half the server. I never did this again afterwards.

My favorite moment so far in WoW has to be doing Naxx back in Pre-BC days. That instance was so wonderfully designed and absolutely stunning visually that it left a lasting memory for me in this game. Those days you had to be in the best of the best guilds to even be able to do Naxx and it felt good to be up at the top of the game.

My favorite WoW moment has got to be when I earned my new gear in Outland. I was most excited about the Shadowbrim Hat and the Staff of Twin Worlds because they were so much better than anything I ever had earned. Well, actually, everything in Outland is, but no time for semantics. While I vendored the hat long ago, I have kept the staff in my bank bag to remind me how far I have come since hitting Outland at 58. :)

Ah, my most memorable experience?
Had to be on my first toon (dwarven pally) Walking up the hill to Ironforge. That was an epic moment for me. Has been years ago now but everytime I walk up that hill with a new toon I flash back to those days and how it was. Just in awe at how much larger the world had just gotten :)

My favorite moment came shortly after getting mind control on my priest, the first time that I actually felt powerful and could take on several opponents simultaneously. It was in the scarlet monastary library, our group was being overwhelmed, and a mindcontrolled scarlet chaplain saved the day with his huuuge heals and power word: shield spells. Great fun.
