Well, your gear looks fine, but id replace all the rare gems with epic ones.
Yeah, because the 72 extra AP (~5-6 dps) will totally worth the 1k-2k gold he will spend on them....

Epic gems cost money?

It won't cost any money if he spends his conquest and honor on them.
Yes it still cost money, because he could have sold them.
You must be the kind of player to put Saronite Ore stack on AH for 2 gold because you know,
it was free to farm them
! /facepalm

Except that we rogues (can't speak for other DPS, I don't really lurk over there) take pride in our gameplay and attitudes towards DPS. We bring our A-game, no matter what the situation, and that includes placing epic gems in your gear.
Now, I understand not popping epics into green/blue gear, and maybe 200/213 epics, but past that, you're just being cheap. It may cost gold, but that's nothing you can't fix with a few dailies, or a little farming. It's also nothing compared to the image gear effort makes when people look at you.
There's a certain image that goes with giving a crap about your gear. I went through a non-raiding slump after my guild sold out in 3.1, and despite being a tier behind on gear, I got invites from respected raiding guilds, whose officers appreciated the attitude I had towards my gear. It's fine if you're in a guild you click with already, but caring about your gear really makes a difference when trying to join a raiding guild.
