Whether or not you go with blood worms is strictly preference, especially at your gear level. They provide a 1-2% dps increase under ideal situations but given the large amounts of AOE on boss fights and their inclination to wander off and attack random targets, they'll give you less than that. I went with the utility talents myself because I like to make the lives of my healers a little easier but there's no fault in trying to obtain the maximum dps you can.
I would say a bigger concern is your lack of point(s) in Epidemic. While I think I recall reading that you can do a full rotation without the talent, it's very hard to do so if there's any lag/latency issue or movement in a fight. Going without the talent also means that your diseases fall off earlier during DRW. Try shaving a point off somewhere (perhaps Morbidity) and add one to Epidemic.

Actually, the question should be whether or not you should have the points in Runic Power Mastery or Morbidity/BCB. From the Blood Simple guide on EJ:
"In the Unholy tree the most common line of thinking goes: Ravenous Dead > BCB > Necrosis. Some people like to get 2 points into Night of the Dead as well. From my own experience, I’ve found BCB to be slightly higher than 1% DPS per talent point, whereas Necrosis was slightly < 1% DPS per talent point. Keep in mind though that Necrosis can effectively crit, whereas BCB cannot, so people with very high crit rates may see a swing in the relative value of these two talents.
Morbidity works itself out to be approximately .6% DPS per point, fairly m’eh unless you are using DnD a lot."
Now, for me, Morbidity works itself out to be a little higher but it's still coming in at under 1% dps. However, I'm using a 51/0/20 build so DC will be a smaller percentage of my overall DPS than for someone who is using a 51/2/18 build. Take a recount of your latest heroic/ ten man and see what percentage it is for you.
Bottom line, Ravenous Dead should be 3/3. If you decide to remain 51/2/18, you'll most likely want to take the points out of BCB. If you decide to remove the 2 points in Frost, you should have 3/3 RD, 3/3 BCB, and 2/3 Morbidity if you want to have 2/2 Epidemic.

I'm trying o give the OP reasons why VB is not necessary. The OP asked for spec recommendations and opinions. Belhemel is offering his point of view and his arguments for why VB is a good idea instead of going with bloodworms, and I am offering mine for why VB is unnecessary.
I'm just angry at Tyrfiing for telling me to GTFO in a condescending way without bringing any constructive discussion to the thread.
I did acually telling you that bloodworms suck and that runic power mastery improves your drw duration ;)

I never did pick up

But I dont hate it either. The extra rune power will add to extra damage for death strike and allow a bit more play with your runic dump
Completely untrue Death strike stops gaining the increased damage from RP after 100. Runic power mastery is quickly becoming useless, the only reason I might take it is that it can give you a little more breathing room, when you use Gargoyle or Dancing Rune Weapon, both of which when 3.2 comes out, will no longer drain RP to stay up, they will have a fixed RP requirement, eliminating one of runic power mastery's only use in my opinion. That is of course my opinion

True, but for now it does give the extra duration of drw making it worth speccing imo
