Math says KS glyph is best for sustained DPS. I, personally, loathe KS as a skill and will be glyping AR over SnD.
For me the problem with KS is you don't know where you will go after you launch the attack.....
Against the target dummies it works like a champ...Against a dragon,
if you end up in front of the dragon... not so good... I like KS, but not enough to use it
against some bosses....in my view AR is better than the SnD glyph.... I have had
no problems keeping SnD up and the the extra time on the AR and the shorting cooldown
in the patch make it a winner......

Killing Spree will never place you in front of the boss. It always places you behind the target.

Which is even worse for certain bosses, since some like to tail sweep...

Sorry bud, but I'm right. Have you ever actually used it on a mob that isn't focusing on you? It only seems like it pops you randomly while soloing because the mob always turns to face you each jump. Use it more than once and you'll notice.

Then don't use it on bosses that tail sweep, or only use it when tail-sweep won't be an issue? It's not really that hard to find opportunities.

In theory (and for the most part, in practice), KS is suppose to pop you behind the mob. But there has been several times where, even when the tank hasn't moved at all, KS would pop me for an instant in front of the mob. I've only really died once from this, but this very fact is enough for me to either stick with SnD glyph, or go AR, which is more practical because you can use it on virtually every boss in the game with no "glitches".
I like KS (using it every CD=crazy numbers on bosses like Patchwerk), but I don't like that you need to "time it right" on other bosses, and can't basically use it in a few of them.

Adrenaline Rush V.S. Killing Spree:
1)
Adrenaline Rush increased your energy regen by 100%. This means instead of regening 20 energy/2sec (old mechanic wise), you gan 40 energy/2sec.
This means that Adrenanline Rush gives u an extra 10 energy/sec. Thus 5 more seconds of Adrenaline Rush gives u exactly 50 more energy. This is more or less an extra Sinister Strike.
Sinister Strike is weapon damage + 180 damage. This is the dps increase for the Adrenaline Rush Glyph.
2)
Killing Spree does 5 instant weapon damage every 0.5 second and now with an increased 20% damage increase for those 5 attacks. Thus even one attack of Killing Spree is superieur to a Sinister Strike.
The glyph of Killing Spree reduces the cooldown by 40% orso, thus increasing dps by (the 5 Killing Spree Attacks undertaken by a 40% cooldown decrease) 2 attacks of Killing Spree.
->Bottomline:
Adrenaline Rush gives an extra Sinister Strike and Killing spree gives 2 more attacks which are superieur to a Sinister Strike.
Conclusion:
You can say all u want but the glyph of Killing Spree is better than the glyph of Adrenaline Rush. You may pull out disadvantages such as sapphiron and sartharion, but just learn to time it and Killing Spree has its advantages such as bugging out almost every vortex of Malygos. And as last note looking at the sort of bosses in Ulduar, which is the goal of every guild now, Killing Spree does not suffer from any disadvantages.

From what I have encountered since I am playing Combat in 3.1:
On said bosses mentioned above, Killing Spree is actually not a bad thing. If you are on bosses such as Sartharion or Sapphiron, just don't burn it until the Tank has the Boss situated and you are not dodging any life threatening raid mechanic (ie. flame walls or chill respectively).
I don't know if it was this way last patch, as I was HfB...but Killing Spree puts you *BEHIND* and inside large dragons such as Sartharion or Sapphiron, meaning you will not get tail-swiped. On Sapphiron, I generally run through the exact location they place you to transition away from chill.
I also tested KS on Thaddius on a wipe (I didn't want to be the cause of it) and let's just say I highly recommend not using KS on this boss you WILL cross the streams so to speak.
The key to remember, is just be smart when using it, ultimately when the prices come down I'll be picking up Glyph of KS as my third.

40 energy/2sec = 20 energy/sec so that equals 2 extra sinister strikes in 5 seconds and an snd or rupture
