I still don't understand that philosophy. Are the dps lesser beings that should venerate/praise both healers and tanks? Why can't we say: 'we won't dps the boss before the spriest/mage drink?'. Why can YOU say it? because you are more rare?
Also, i can duo (me and a healer) most 3.0 heroics. Once, 3 players from the same realm (2 dps and the tank) dc'd in the last wave before the VH last boss. I duo'd that boss with the healer.
If you do a lousy job, don't whine about dps being bad, go fix it.

I just have problem with DPS that go all out on a mob in a pack of 3 or 4 that im not even focusing on and that mob turns to them and they either die or take alot of dmg and go "WTF Tank control your mobs" and when I tell him to burn down the one im on so you wont run into that I've had a few that say "lol it doesnt matter which one im on"

I follow mainly the same set of rules when tanking. On occasion I know a certain dps will single out a mob and pull it, and be well aware that mob will die before it reaches said dps. When this happens I let it happen, following "You spank it, you tank it". I won't complain about doing that, as long as it works. When you bite off more than you can chew, blame's on you.
However, it's the Recount-drooling DPStards who rly tick me off, as the warlock last week who kept on dotting up all the mobs as soon as i started moving forward. Then proceeded by fearing the mobs when they came too close, sending them off to pull other groups, and then using LT as soon as he was below 75% mana (without ILT talent), forcing the healer to keep on healing him.
The healer complained in /p but he ignored it, then the healer /w me to kick him, but the bug prevented us from doing so, and in the end we agreed that the warlock would be last in line to get heals... took the tard 7 deaths to finally understand he was doing something wrong, and then he dropped group.

I've had good tank, I'd had horrid tanks...but the tank I will never forget is the one that I had in H-UK yesterday. We zoned in, buffed, and that ****er never stopped until the end of the instance. Started running to the next pull before the one we were on was dead, pulled bosses while we were still killing mobs...kinda sucked, but at the same time was almost fun. Thank god we had a dang good healer, and my hunter was the only mana user (viper aspect FTW)
That sounds exactly like what I do in H UK. If I'm tanking heroics for badges I usually try to make it more enjoyable for me, which includes chain pulling and generally ^&*!ing off dps who rely on channeled AoE spells.
I mean sure, if someone dies or doesn't have the gear then I'll let up the pace some but honestly, the MAJORITY of people running heroics with the LFD tool are just farming badges for whatever reason and should be doing AT LEAST TotC. I'm relatively sure a couple of them could solo some of the heroics so just get that sand out of your ass hole and try to have fun because I don't know about you guys, but I do NOT enjoy running H Nexus in 3 out of 5 random dungeons. I try to spice it up a little.

Leveling a pally tank with all heirlooms through the LFD system now. Doing quite well at level 41.
That being said I will agree with the OP....if you pull it ...you tank it. I understand accidental pulls so thats not an issue...but if you're a hunter or something running ahead and pulling more mobs...they're all yours.
I've had 3 melee hunters doing 40dps in the last 3-4 days. 2 of them were pulling left and right. Vote kick immediately and its always passed. Idiots to say the least.

I have a problem with this. My problem is if I'm the tank and there's a lootable mob. If I keep pulling more and more groups, how do I loot? When I'm not a dpser, and if I'm a healer - if I have enough mana, than I love these tanks.
However when I'm a skinner - which I dropped, I don't really enjoy this, as all I do is skin the entire instance hoping not to be kicked for 0 damage done.

I usually don't loot corpses anyway unless someone asks me so they can skin/mine/herb a certain mob. The fact is that pretty much everything that drops in Heroics is just #$%^ that I don't need and will clutter my already cluttered bags. I usually only stop to loot the bosses. Anyway skinning sucks : \ I dropped that a looong time ago.

If for some reason at all you are in trouble and you have a MOB on you. Please do not run away from the tank instead run to him. There is nothing more annoying then a tank trying to rescue you when you are running away from him. Think smart!

I think what annoys a lot of DPS is the moral high horse tanks ride around on. A DPS will pull a mob, the healer heals them, mob dies, everyone's happy, except the tank who starts ranting about how everyone should go at exactly his pace and how he should be holding all of the mobs and how it's hugely problematic if a DPS doesn't adhere to that and how he's lolbad if he pulls towards the end of the fight. And you say 'it's just a heroic' and you get vote kicked.
I play a healer main, and what tanks and healers have to accept is that they aren't as important in five mans anymore. I agree with all of these rules in challenging content, or for undergeared players, but let's face it. Five ICC geared DPS could clear heroics as long as one of them was a healer class in a DPS spec and one was wearing plate. If the DPS are getting a bit ahead of you, or pulling one or two mobs off you every pull, but everything is going fine, it's because you simply aren't very important anymore in heroics.
I for one, switch to my ret spec, spend AoW procs on FoLs for the tank, and if I need to, try to drink quickly between pulls. I don't walk around in my full 25k unbuffed mana healing set demanding everyone slow down because my back is itching, and I don't make everyone stop and wait because my mana got below 75%. I go ret, I DPS, and if someone needs healing I throw an instant FoL on them. If we aren't completely blazing through I'll put a few of my healing pieces on just so I'm not running around with 6k mana and 1.3k mana spell costs. I accept that I'm not very important anymore, whereas back in 3.0.8, all of the peons listened to the tank and to me because they needed us.
