(( Yea yea, I know. OH TEH NOEZ. ANOTHER HERO CLASS IDEER. RUUUUN. ))
Name
: Exemplar
Races
: Blood elf, draenai, dwarf, human, orc, and Forsaken.
Armor
: Plate
Weapons
: One-handed swords, one-handed axes, one-handed maces
Relic&Off-hand
: Banner
Main Stats
: Intellect, Spirit, Agility, Strength
Overview:
Battlefields are places of chaos, destruction, and death, but from these places can rise heroes. Among the legendary feats of bravery on these bloody fields are the deeds of the exemplars: men and women who strike fear into the hearts of their opponents. They also inspire courage and boldness in their allies, holding a banner high amidst the chaos.
To be an exemplar is to sacrifice a great deal of freedom in pursuit of a path that's narrower than a warrior's or paladin's. But to be an exemplar is the highest honor, as having a capable one in an army's midst can mean the difference between death, and victory.
Talents:
Inspiration
The Inspiration Tree is dedicated to inspiring the exemplar's allies. It consists of various auras to benefit everybody within the exemplar's group/raid, and has a -few- abilities that allow the exemplar to buff and heal his allies.
Intimidation
The Intimidation Tree is dedicated to intimidating the exemplar's enemies, and lowering stats, resistances, and the like. It has auras that affect the exemplar's enemies, and a few spells that cast strong de-buffs upon a target.
Enlightenment
The Enlightenment Tree is dedicated to healing and protecting the exemplar's allies. No auras in this tree, but with it come powerful buffs and heals, and a few abilities that sacrifice the exemplar's health to give allies in a certain radius protection.
Spell System
: Courage and Auras
Courage
Courage works like a warrior's Rage or a death knight's Runic Power. After a certain time in combat, the exemplar begins gaining courage after using certain abilities. Courage, instead of being used to "fuel" certain abilities, it instead increases the power of all the exemplar's spells. After the exemplar uses a spell to protect an ally (I.E. Paladin bubble), that Courage is used up instead of his health.
Auras
Auras work along the same lines as a paladin's auras or a death knight's presences. HOWEVER, instead of just affecting the exemplar's allies, there are quite a few of them that affect the exemplar's enemies.
Spell And Talent Preview:
Inspiration:
Presence of the Martyr: Increases all base attributes of raid members by 10%. Also increases said attributes by 2% every time a raid member dies. Sacrifices 15% of the exemplar's health to cast this aura.
Aura of the Serpent: Increases attack speed, Agility, and attack power by 5%. Also gives raid members a chance of poisoning an enemy, dealing 155 damage for every second for 20 seconds.
Strength of the Ogre: Increases stamina, armor, and defense rating by 10%. Also increases the chance of not being stunned and/or dazed. Lasts 1 hour.
Intimidation
Aura of the Storm Giant: Affects the exemplar's enemies, lowering their armor by 10%, health by 5%, and dealing Nature damage every 10 seconds. (Note: Nature damage is somewhat weak)
Presence of the Leviathen: Affects the exemplar's enemies, decreasing their base attributes by 5%. Also has a chance of causing them to run away in fear for 5 seconds (doesn't work on bosses).
Shadow of the Kraken: AOE fear. Causes the exemplar's enemies to flee in fear for 10 seconds. Also lowers their armor rating by 10%, and their attack speed by 5%.
Enlightenment
Battlewind: Every time a heal is cast, the effects are carried to the rest of the exemplar's party/raid members. Sacrifices a fourth of the exemplar's health to cast this spell. Lasts an hour. Works like an aura.
Courage of the Battlefield: The exemplar heals nearby party members for 40% of their total health. Sacrifices 2% of the exemplar's base health.
Protective Gaze: The exemplar shoots a gaze at his target, causing them to be shielded for 10 seconds. Sacrifices 4% of the exemplar's base health.
NOTE: All of the abilities that require health sacrifices, can be subverted with enough Courage (I.E. Protective Gaze uses all of the Courage instead of health if there is enough Courage)

This is actually really good. I loved it how the energy system (i.e Courage) is different than all the ones who currently exist, but make sense and could actually work, very original.
What I don't get it: you've stated what he can use in the main head, but the banner you use in the off hand slot or the wand slot?

Okay. So the banner was supposed to be "relic" for the exemplar. HOWEVER, the banner is naturally supposed to be held off-hand, allowing the exemplar to wield a one-handed weapon.
It would basically take up the relic AND the off-hand slot. Sorry for not clarifying in the OP.

This is very good except you need to be able to use 4 kinds of weapons, otherwise it will be impossible to get the "Master of Arms" achievement.
Unarmed.

I think you are (Sub?)consciously pulling a bit from WAR...
Courage
Courage works like a warrior's Rage or a death knight's Runic Power. After a certain time in combat, the exemplar begins gaining courage after using certain abilities. Very much like Shaman/Archmage powers in WAR.
Auras
Auras work along the same lines as a paladin's auras or a death knight's presences. HOWEVER, instead of just affecting the exemplar's allies, there are quite a few of them that affect the exemplar's enemies.
Pretty similar to Chosen / KotBS auras.
Otherwise, good :)

I would totally make an Exemplar! They sound awesome. I wish Blizzard would consider some of these nice ideas for classes. This one is actually well done. /cheer

Very nicely done. And it sounds like a captain-ish wich makes it perfect for a hero class ( veteran warriors leading initiates or have a strategic mind.
But , however i seems totally a support class. All classes must have a DPS spec. I bet he can make
inspiration while damaging their enemys .

That's what the exemplar is supposed to be: A group utility class that has a healing spec. However, a few of the auras in Inspiration do increase the DPS of other folks, thus making up for the exemplar's lack of DPSing.
And thanks for the support folks! I might decide to post this up on their suggestion forums, but. . . The WoW Forums scare me.
