Casual perspective on EZ WoW

I am a casual player. I don't like to PvP much. My rotating work schedule keeps me from getting into serious raiding. I have a 80 main and several alts, 3 in the 70s. I don't like Blizz making leveling easier.
I play because I enjoy the game and the escape from RL. I took the time to educate myself about my playstyle. I get satisfaction from figuring out how to complete a task of defeat a group of mobs.
It took me a long time to stop listening to all the players who don't give any respect to anyone not level capped and raiding. I try to take the time to explain things to new players when they ask for advice. I also try to explain to them what other players expect of them and how they should conduct themselves in game.
I believe a big part of the reason Blizz is making everything easier is because many new players wrongly think the only way to enjoy the game is to hit 80. So when you want to complain about Wow getting dumbed down, ask yourself if helped make it happen.

Some will always find a reason to complain no matter what. Oddly enough, significant numbers of them still keep their subscriptions, so obviously they aren't UNhappy enough to take their business elsewhere.
I love it when people say "I will quit if..." then it happens, they QQ, we call them out, and they don't quit.
Lol.

Please don't misunderstand me KittyKat. I am not unhappy about my current situation and I could find a raiding guild should I choose to. I over-simplified my point of view in an attempt at brevity. I agree that we should all be allowed to enjoy the game as we each see fit.
I just got tired of seeing the l2p posts and was trying to illustrate that just because a player considers himself casual that does not mean he wants a free ride.

It should be noted Blizz is only making the leveling faster.
Faster =/= Easier.
It simply equals less time wasted on parts of the game that many players may have already ground through once. People need to get over their jealousy.
By that logic, it is not difficult to get 100000g.
They may not be directly equal, but they are certainly related.

That isn't difficult.

While someone can gain xp faster now, there are ten more levels to go to get to the top. The time needed to level a toon to the cap is still around the same total time.

It's not difficult to get 100,000g in WoW, it just takes time.
You can farm mobs in the game with two right clicks of your mouse (one to target and begin auto-attack and the other to auto loot). Eventually you'll have to move your toon to a vendor to empty your bags, but you will make that 100,000g.
I guess taking less time to do something is making it easier.
However, it's a very different "easier" from:
-takes less physical strength 'easier'
-takes less mental acumen 'easier'
-takes less skill 'easier'
-etc...
Jesus you guys love arguing (Gukhwa and TheMediator) but I'll play along...
Taking less time to do something, while using the same amount of effort, certainly makes it easier. I can think of a thousand analogies to get this across, but it would be easier for me to not type them because I'm sure you are smart enough to understand my point. See what I'm saying here? Regardless, I'm done arguing with you two lol

I like the new nerfs, but not because I'm casual. These changes have nothing to do with casual vs. non-casual. It's simply making it easier for more players to reach a higher level faster, and when you play on a low population server, that means a greater percentage of chance to ACTUALLY find a group.
Now I can see some possible problems with this. One is the fact that noobs won't learn the basic skills you need to be useful at max level. I think post 3.2 we will see an increase of the phrase "D00D MY GR4NDP4 COULD PWN JOO!" in BGs, followed swiftly by the same character's death. (Don't ask me what a GR4NDP4 is, I think it is a droid from star wars)

Casuals made WoW a Joke. Raiding was turned into a joke. Casuals killed wow's sense of challenge. When you say you don't raid and people taunt you for not raiding, I congratulate you. You are a true casual. They just need to lay off crying about not experience content because they don't 'have time' which is all but bull %^&*, just a complain since they lack skill to do it.
