I am currently SV spec.
Since alot of the 245 gear I have has AP in it and I now have the resources to craft

I was thinking of making the switch to MM and give it a go. If I was to re-gem to Armor Pen gems I can muster maybe around 900 A-Pen without buff foods.
Here is my current info:

Another MM hunter told me the switch isnt worth it based on the amount of DPS I put out (approx raid DPS is approx 4k 10 man and 4.7k 25 man) until I either obtain the AP trinkets from either Naxx25 or Uld25 or preferably both.
Your thoughts?

I would probably recommend staying SV until you get 2pc T9 and a better ranged weapon, but that's entirely up to you. If you really want to give MM a go, do it! Don't regem to ArP though... definitely better to stick with Agility gems with a few 10Agi/10Crit in yellow slots to pick up good socket bonuses.
I did notice that you are missing two really critical talents from your SV spec though. 3/3 Careful Aim and 1/2 Go For the Throat are essential to ALL hunter specs.
Not having Careful Aim is costing you 534 AP totally unbuffed and considerably more in raids where you have AI and Kings. That's just a ridiculously large amount of DPS that you are leaving on the table.
One point in Go for the Throat prevents your pet from running out of focus or becoming "focus starved," and will greatly increase it's DPS output.
The best place to drop talent points would be Hunting Party... go 1/3 there. The other 2 points are a bit tougher (you need to try to get some more hit on your gear so you arent using 3/3 Focused Aim... 1/3 is fine), but i would probably take them from Resourcefulness.
You may want to strongly consider gemming and/or chanting for 2% more hit so that you can free up the 2 talent points that way rather than pulling them out of Res.

So using 2 +34 hit dragon eyes, dropping focused to 1/3 is better move than taking out of other talents?
It really is bothering me about the 3/3 that are sitting in Focused Aim. However was hesitant to drop the Hit gems in fear that damage would be greatly reduced.

Yep, Focused Aim is fixed now and the hit does transfer to your pet. It's actually a fine talent to put one point into, but more than that usually starts pulling points from more important talents.

I think your character qualifies for good MM use. Especially considering your armor penetration rating. By the way, do Ulduar25, get giant's bane until you get your ToTC ranged wep, that heroic weapon make you look bad :<
