Lies. Blizzard, all lies. Fight like Razuvious, decursing fights (borderline), and all other fights that require a certain class. Discuss.

Still, having a certain type of tank, dps, or healer can make many fights much easier. KT, inturrupts.

I think Blizzard's major concern with class stacking was resolved by making most buffs raid wide and not stackable. In TBC a raid was heavily penalized for having mixed caster/physical damage groups or for not filling each group with distinct stacking buffs. In many cases that lead to group composition determining total dps in a way that masked actual player skill.
I'm much happier with the current system where a raid of good players has a much better chance of being able to take on any encounter. Dual specs have only made this easier by allowing players to switch roles when that one extra tank/healer/cleanser/whatever would really change the fight, even if that spec is a bit undergeared.

Pretty sure most guilds clearing Ulduar bring 2-4 holy priests. Insane raid heals imo

That's just the thing, people stacking multiple classes to make the experience easier. I think almost all class abilities, with the exclusion of buffs, should have some overlap with onther class.

I'm talking about stacking one class, eg Paldians for uber buffs, while leaving classes like rogues out. Certains classes, like rogues (only class actually) bring nothing to the table in raids except another than another inturrupt. They have no special unique buffs, but I have a feeling that more good stuff will be coming to them soon. (Crossover with kings, is my guess)
People stack certain classes, that most raid leaders now see as nesissary. Example, VoA
PUG
yesterday, the raid leader refused to start without a priest, whether it be a dps or a healer. Some classes, the ones with unique buffs, bring alot of +++ to raiding, and most people don't have a rogue in their raid group, but almost always 3 or more paladins.

Bring the player not the class? I guess the dev's have not considered a truth about WOW pvp.
Stealth is game changing.
Being able to cherry pick your targets, is game changing
Being able to jump out of combat at will, is game changing
"Can't do that while stunned. Pops trinket, ( and if i don't, im dead anyway)
Can't do that while stunned.
Can't do that while stunned. 1/2 health.
Vanish, preperation, I don't have a target.
Can't do that while stunned. No trinket this time.
Can't do that while stunned.
Can't do that while stunned. Stun wears off, Im on miniscule health, dead.
You can't do that when you're dead."
Competitive? Of course not. It wasn't competitive in vanilla wow, it wasn't competitive in TBC, and its not competitive in Lich King.
exactly where in this chain of events does player skills come into play? Perhaps they made a typo and what they really meant to say was, bring the healer, not the class?
This wasn't even about PvP. Also, you really should not cry about rogues, everyone has put stunlocking rogues in their file of PvP experiences. Besides, you are a warlock, of course they are going to kick your ass. Considering that you can own paladins, mages and druids, and are a good match up for most other classes, its not too unfair.
One tip: Don't QQ unless you have 900+ resilence and 23k+ hp, and have specced SL like a good warlock!.
